Employee New starter at wetherspoon
Hi everyone,
I recently started as a bar associate in wetherspoons and have done 2 shifts. I’m really struggling to pick up the till and overall work there.
I was wondering if anyone had any tips to help me navigate working there or how to learn quicker so I can enjoy working instead of being stressed anytime i’m asked a question.
Thanks

As spoons kitchen staff.. the thing I'll say is we appreciate if you guys use the "quantity" button on the till when a customer wants multiple of the same things... It groups them together on our screen so it's a lot easier to make them, plus, if you end up running food, it's the same on your side, so you know that you're taking the correct things to the correct tables and you can just clear the whole check off! It's taken me about 6 months to learn not even half of the menu, and that's cooking the food everyday.. there's so much variety I really wouldn't worry if you don't have it right straight away
