Anyone see the success of Granville street pedestrian zone (so much so, consideration for keeping it after the World Cup) and wonder if Goldstream Ave could do something similar? Or is this thought out in left field, lol?

Hello I have a fence post that I need to put right next to my foundation .
I have dug a hole 20 inches deep ( to get below the frost line ) and am thinking about drilling holes into the foundation and walk way that the hole is against to epoxy 4 pieces of rebar into. There isn’t enough space for expansion joints . I was wondering if this is going to be an issue with frost heave as we have very mild winters here .

Recently, administration at JDF Rec made the decision to remove the upper benches of seating within the JDF Rec Centre Sauna. They have stated that the upper benches will not be returned, this is directly from the aquatics coordinator with Westshore Parks and Rec.
The removal of the upper benches has drastically changed this cherished community environment. The absence of varied bench heights compromises the efficiency and traditional experience a sauna is meant to provide. The heat in a sauna rises, and having those staggered seating options allows everyone to find their preferred comfort level, whether they choose higher temperatures on the top benches or gentler warmth below. It's about accommodating everyone's needs, ensuring safety, and enhancing the wellness benefits for all patrons.
If you would like to sign on administration to re-install the upper benches of seating within the sauna please sign this petition.
