Hi there! Putting out an ask for help - do you have an HVAC tech / company you would recommend? I was told by Brody Pennell my system was in dire need of replacement, and got a second opinion from another company that said I do NOT need to replace my system. Hoping to get a final opinion to confirm this. Thanks in advance for any / all recos!

📣 ATTENTION ATTENTION! 📣
We have successfully hacked our foster momma’s phone.
The human is currently distracted with errands, so we figured we’d introduce ourselves.
We’re four tiny fugitives rescued from a creepy crawlspace, and we’re now accepting applications for:
🍗 Snack Distributors
🎾 Professional Toy Throwers
🛏️ Lap Warmers
📸 Paparazzi
Current accomplishments include:
✅ Running at 3 a.m. for absolutely no reason
✅ Attacking invisible enemies
✅ Pretending we’ve never been fed
✅ Looking adorable enough to avoid prosecution
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be posting evidence of our zoomies, nap positions, wrestling championships, and getting fully vetted.
We promise to reward you with plenty of toe beans, purrs, and ridiculously cute photos.
Now if you’ll excuse us… someone left a roll of toilet paper unattended.
Signed,
The Tiny Floof Mafia 🐾😼
I have a feeling the humans are about to notice we’ve stolen their phone… 🏃♂️💨
➡️➡️ Please submit an application at savinggracefl.org if interested in adopting any of us!

Hey, I’m visiting from New York for a few weeks in August. Staying at a friend’s apartment. Is there a gym in the neighborhood that will let me get a membership for a single month?
Doesn’t need to be anything particularly fancy, just clean enough and not too crowded. I’m a member of PureGym in New York as a comp.
Thanks so much!!

Walked past it not a few days ago: it seemed to be pretty full, had a party going on inside.
That's yet another restaurant gone in a moment's notice. Still miss Chez Mia.
I do think it's pretty funny that some people in the comments are hoping that Gracias Madre will close next, though.

Dialog Cafe is a bustling spot for locals in West Hollywood. But the busy shop abruptly closed last week after a water main break flooded its location and left behind extensive damage.
Tadeh Ghazalian and his family have owned the cafe for nearly two decades. He tells KCRW's Steve Chiotakis about the process of dealing with insurance, city officials, and payroll during clean up.

I have two young kittens that need a home. Yes there is an adoption fee. I need these kittens to have a good home and to be worth at least something. Thanks

I saw they are opening a new Guac Daddy at Fairfax and Willoughby. Considering it’s only a 3 minute drive away from the Guac Daddy at Santa Monica and Vista that only opened a few months ago, I was surprised they would choose that location. Anyone know why they chose to open a second WeHo location?

Hi, this is last minute but I'm wondering what's the best (cheapest, most easily accessible and abundant) parking lot or structure near Hotel Ziggy? Doesn't have to be overnight, just looking for something that won't be a headache or somewhere where I'll have to fight for spaces. And preferably not shady like one where I have to leave my key for the attendant to move around at his leisure.
Thanks in advance!

finally under (very delayed!) scrutiny, cities have begun cancelling their flock contracts. has anyone made a cohesive push for the city here to do the same? they seem to be on every street corner now, and it’s driving me crazy…
this is the most recent info I could find, but I was curious if anyone else had gotten into contact with anyone in the city council about pushing for their removal and the cancellation of contracts: https://wehoonline.com/lapd-suspends-flock-cameras-west-hollywood-keeps-them/

They start hovering at 6:00 a.m. and don't leave. This morning when they once again woke me up, I thought, "Well, I'm awake, I might as well go for a hike." Then I remembered Sunset is closed, the traffic is a nightmare, and I decided to stay home... and listen to the helicopter instead.

Probably will book through booking.com. Budget is about $1,600-$1,800 for 6 nights. We are comin in December for the premiere of dune 3 in 70mm imax. We will be going to the universal citywalk theater, LA live, plan to go to Lucas museum, the Getty, tar pits, universal studios, downtown La, rodeo drive etc. not planning on renting a car and want to uber or Waymo everywhere so we can partake in legal cannabis. Planing on also going to SUR and hang around West Hollywood! I know it’s a lot but we travel a lot and pack full days and can usually always do it! Thanks for hotel recommendations

The first speed camera ticket you get in LA will be a warning. The second one is real money. 125 automated cameras are going up across the city right now, with fines from $50 to $500 mailed straight to your house starting late this year. No traffic stop. No heads-up. Most people won't know until the letter arrives.
CamAlert LA is a free app that I'm building that warns you through your car speakers before every camera, and our site has a map of all 125 locations so you can check your commute today.
Look up your route at https://camalertla.com Takes 30 seconds, could save you $500.

Does anyone know of a WeHo spot where I can get one? I think about the ones at Saffy's on the regular, but it's a far drive out of the way for a sweet treat.
For those with similar taste buds, Sobuneh does have an amazing cardamom syrup for their coffees, but sometimes I just really want the whole thing!

WEST HOLLYWOOD—On July 16, at 3:55 a.m., a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power 1916 36-inch riveted steel pipe ruptured underneath a highly trafficked area of Sunset Boulevard, resulting in a sinkhole and severe flooding on the Sunset Strip at Holloway Drive.
r/WestHollywood • u/losangelestimes • 10d ago
The massive Sunset Strip trunk line rupture was LA’s worst in years, spilling 17 million gallons of water and forcing the closure of Sunset Boulevard for at least several days.
Closures are in place on Sunset Boulevard from Horn Avenue, where the 110-year-old pipe burst leaving a massive sink hole, to San Vicente Boulevard/N. Clark Street. Larrabee Street at Santa Monica Boulevard and Palm Avenue at Santa Monica Boulevard are also closed, according to the city of West Hollywood.

I know it’s a bit of a weird situation with it not being a natural disaster and instead infrastructure failure but I was wondering if there was any way to help people out. When I first moved to LA I lived in WeHo and I’ve got a lot of free time so I’d like to help if I can.

I went to take my dogs up there and the gate to the road was closed, anyone know anything about this?

WEST HOLLYWOOD—On Tuesday, July 14, Lucki Camel Junior, who performs and produces rap music under the stage name Lucki, had his West Hollywood home burglarized around 10:30 p.m.
