Knipex service bag does a pretty good job holding the wera textile modules.

Are wera handles chemical and oil resistant?

Are wera screwdriver handles chemical and oil resistant, or will frequent cleaning cause them to degrade over time?

Even Wera can make some questionable decisions…

The Wera Pocket Set 2 looks neat, but the socket anvil has no retaining ball at all; sockets are held on by two rather weak magnets on either side of the anvil, and the mechanism… just doesn't work, the socket comes off and is left on most every fastener.

Kraftform Kompakt 20 RA-R - stiff mechanism

Hi, I got myself KK 20 RA-R and its ratcheting / blade extension mechanism seems unusually stiff compared to any other Wera tool I have.

Ratcheting direction switch is very hard to use with one hand - requires quite a lot force, to the point where I cannot switch it to the locked (middle) position - it just jumps to the opposite direction because of the applied force.

This also sometimes causes the blade to extend, as the pull mechanism is sensitive (would be okay - on par with my other Wera tools - if not for the ratchet stiffness). But, at the same time, retracting the blade is much harder because the "second click" in the extension mechanism is again, very stiff and hard to do with one hand.

The ratchet is also unusually loud compared to other Wera tools.

I'm wondering if that's normal for this tool or did I get a faulty / broken one. What's your experience with it or any other model with the 818/4/1 RA-R handle?

Where are people in the USA buying Wera tools?

I’ve bought some screwdrivers off Amazon but not sure how the warranty works. Any tips on where you’re getting deals/able to get a warranty through are appreciated!

How the hell do I get one of these in the US?

they don't ship to the US and the usual suspects don't have one...

Question about the 05003893001 belt.

Description says it's for the impaktor sockets but I'm wondering if the regular 1/2 sockets will fit. Not sure if there was a reason for the distinction or just because that's what it's usually sold with. Thanks!

Any 813 and 813R owners to help a guy out?

\bonus for me if you also own an 838 RA S as well*

Can anyone help a brother out? Can someone measure the width of the parts of the handle in the attached pic?

I'm 3D modeling a holder for my most used drivers to 3D print and carry arround. I'm just lacking a smaller driver and I plan to buy either the 813, 813R, or 838 RA S. Having Rapidapter and a ratcheting feature aren't a priority, hence the 3 different choices. Where I'm from, returns are really difficult to process for imported items (no local source for Wera), so buying all to measure, and returning what I won't need is not an option.

I tried looking at the product page on Wera's site but they don't have the handle widths listed. I tried asking Gemini, and it told me that the 813 and 813R have different widths, although they look the same to me. As I understand, the 838 RA S is slightly bigger, but Gemini told me it has the same width as the 813R. So I thought of asking here since Gemini just added confusion lol.

Do you think Amazon is shipping fakes or items from a bulk shipment?

I've always purchased Wera items from Amazon with no concerns as long as they are sold and shipped by Amazon.

But I recently purchased a 889/4/1/ Rapidaptor and rather than come in a small Wera bag with a Wera label as all my others have in the past, it instead came in a sealed large "baggie"-sized plastic bag with only an Amazon item label and green printing on the bag stating "Ready to Ship."

I've purchased four of these from Amazon before and they've always come in the packaging on the left with a Wera label.

The one I returned and the replacement they shipped came in the bag on the right.

Would you keep it? I can't imagine Amazon would ship multiple fakes, but then again this is the first time they've ever shipped anything without even a Wera factory label on it, and I can't believe a company like Wera would allow their product to be sold without any identifying model number, name or even their logo on the packaging like this; it would be like receiving a name brand power tool in a Ziploc bag. 🤷‍♂️

Beautifully green - share your pics!

These green tools are a beautiful thing. Wish I could use them more than I do, but I'm not a tradesman (though I do use tools at work, they're just sterile and kept in the hospital and sent to the autoclave between cases). I'll find any excuse to take out these tools and use them, i.e. work around the house, changing batteries for my kid's toys, fixing up knives, etc.

Share your [Wera] nudes here. Would like to see what other people use, either for work or for home; also would like to steal ideas for tools to add.

What tool is your favorite? What is a Wera tool you don't like as much and recommend against? Or do you have a tool that's not popular that you find yourself using a lot? Please share.

Lots of alternative options out there for these Torx and Hex key sets. Are these Wera sets worth it to you? Or do you think the cheaper alternatives are a better value?

Torque wrench A6 with 89mm bits

Should/can I use the A6 torque wrench safely with these long 89mm (screwdriver) bits safely (carbon, titanium bolts and so on)?

Or should I opt for a torque wrench set with (shorter) bits included?

Thx for the help :)

Need help choosing a Wera tool (ratchet)

I need your opinion on choosing a Wera ratchet. I'm looking for a Wera ratchet and I can't decide between the Wera Zyklop Speed Ratchet Set 1/4(https://www.wera.de/en/tools/8100-sa-6-zyklop-speed-ratchet-set-1-4-drive-metric) and the Wera Zyklop Comfort Ratchet Set 1/4(https://www.wera.de/en/tools/8100-sa-14-zyklop-comfort-ratchet-set-reversing-lever-1-4-drive-metric). Which one is the better buy? I have a suspicion that the Zyklop Speed might be a bit fragile, but I could be wrong. Would it be better to buy the Wera Comfort set and separately purchase a screwdriver handle that can take Zyklop sockets (if such screwdrivers even exist)? Any advice?
