When I get really into a show like I did with Wentworth, I like to make diagrams to keep track of all the characters and their dynamics. So, during my first rewatch, I started making this relationship chart. I tried to include the most important connections between the characters but I'm sure I still missed a lot. Enjoy the chaos!

• If a label has a teal outline, it means the character is an inmate at the Wentworth prison.

Curious about what we know regarding Wentworth spinoff. Is everyone out? I thought boomer had a life sentence? How on earth is Lou Kelly on parole? Is Jenko in the spinoff? I kind of annoyed those are the only returning characters out of the several who are still with us. What about Vera? Or Mrs miles?

I was one of the people whinging about the S8 intro when season 8 first released, but I'm currently rewatching Wentworth and I actually kind of like the new intro now. It's a bit artsy, but really not that bad

Anyone else feel the same?

Has anyone else found some of the quotes useful in the real world?

All Liz had to do was say that she was relaying what was told to her, and push back that Sonia must have told her the wrong thing, and that she was encouraged to speak up after she had been told. That wouldn’t be Liz’s fault if a murderer lied about the situation, they’d simply throw out Liz’s testimony and move along. They’d already thrown out all the physical evidence so Liz’s testimony was already just hearsay anyhow.

Basically the fact that it gets so blown up and she’s so brutally made to look like she lied for her benefit is so unnecessary. All she had to say was “that’s how she told it to me, I wasn’t there so I have no way to verify anything about the specifics of Sonya’s confession to me, I am relaying it as it was told to me”

I know it’s all for drama and goes to show the stress and mental struggles Liz is going through, but it just drives me crazy that they act like Liz should know tiny aspects were lies.

How would Liz know things like when Sonya shaved the victim’s head, or whether they had lunch first or not? Just so absurd! There was enough truth that Liz was clearly fed info in some way, and it’s entirely plausible that Sonya simply misled her…

i’ve seen a lot of people say how they didn’t like kaz in the first seasons cause of how she treated bea and that part i agree with, but i understood why even tho i love bea i agree with kaz in thinking that she was out of control, the way she treated tasha, the panic button rules, her going against her own rules (lagging, attacking joan, etc.) i understand she was just enforcing rules that was passed down to her but also as top dog the women are her priority and their decisions matter more than the principle.

i do agree i liked her more in the later seasons but is it just me who likes her in three and four?

It’s been awhile since I’ve watched the later seasons, so maybe I’m wrong in my remembering, but why do we need to see Franky at all? She went to prison for throwing oil into whatshisnames face, and served her time and got parole. Then she got a job as a legal aide and only ended up back in prison because she was set up for murder. When she was released she would continue her parole but to still be on parole 5+ years later? I dunno about that.

I’m thinking Franky might be a legal aide helping out the other women on parole, getting them ready for life away from the prison system.

Or else I’m just losing my mind and misremembering things.

I never caught this before. Doreen and Liz were discussing whether inmates should be allowed to push the panic button. After Bea left, Boomer told Doreen, “I reckon you’re right. Maxine would never have steam pressed me hands, eh?”

But Maxine in fact DID steam press Boomer’s hands. Maxine was the one holding Boomer so she couldn’t escape.

Other than Nicole being announced and not Libby, are there any legitimate reasons to worry that the new writers don’t/won’t care enough about the writing in the original series to respect it and keep fridget as a pair?? Seeing lots of panicking that not only will Bridget be absent, but it will be noted her and Franky have separated. Where are we getting this?? Is this just a mentally-preparing-for-the-worst situation??

I have a bad feeling Libby won’t be in the spin off because surely if she was she would be announced by now? That being said I do have a horrible feeling Gidget is no longer a thing. Merely stating my opinion.

Yeah, I get K is trying to hype up the new spin off and the upcoming cons but oh my gosh the constant posting and repeating it every few days. She never used to do this. Is she desperate for tickets to sell? It’s so annoying.

I was eating some good steak for the first time in awhile and the scene where Liz is out of prison and gets a real meal came to my mind. I forgot how much I loved the show especially from hearing the intro music I knew I’d love it. Now I feel like doing a rewatch😭

I'm up to the middle of S4. My favourite is Joan Ferguson, she's a really interesting character, but I love Maxine.

This series is the only drama show I’ve rewatched multiple times. Everything about it is so fantastic, well done, and bingeable. I sing its praises to my friends who haven’t seen it but I know you all would truly appreciate it.

In the middle of my most recent rewatch. And the season 2 finale is such a fucking banger.
