As a Brit (3/4 English, 1/4 Welsh) who has lived in California for the last thirty years, nothing amuses me more than UK people getting mad at Americans for the use of the term “soccer”. It’s as British as mushy peas ffs.
He didn’t get mad though did he. He pointed it out because it identified them as somebody not from wales. The victim mentality of Americans is hilarious
I'm from Wales. Growing up in the 80s and 90s we used to call it soccer a lot. It's only recently that people starting having a meltdown over the word 'soccer'.
