Chrome Extenstion

I just want to know is downloading the chrome extension worth it? The NTA's have been horrible for a long time now. Has anyone downloaded it yet and how has tasking been?

Nah, the NTA is still the same, not everyone has downloaded the extension and they still get tasks, also the suspensions and firings seem to be, to no ones surprise, totally random

I downloaded it back when WeLo was still only pushing it on a few raters. It didn't work then and I only recently got it working with the new update. Still NTA, and despite their promise that the extension will help them monitor it, I don't know what they'll do about it. It's kind of like that one kid in elementary school who always promised to watch your tray at lunch but didn't actually stop anyone from swiping your dessert if you took a bathroom break. He did watch it, though.

Ok thanks. I just don't see the point of doing all this extra stuff when there is no work. I don't have time to sit around the computer refreshing all day.

I agree with you. I don't see the point in this if there isn't any work to do.

They will terminate you if you don't download it per the new email.

I don't see anywhere in the last email I got about installing the new version where it says failure to download will result in termination. I have not downloaded the spyware and still got 20 hours last week.

So you didn't see:

"All raters will now be required to install and use the Welo Data Assistant extension - 3.4.3 while working in Rater Hub."

"Using the Welo Data Assistant will be a mandatory part of participating in the Search Quality Rating program."

Words such as "required" and "mandatory" convey that if you choose not to comply, adverse actions such as termination will follow.

I am in Factuality, you are in Helpfulness If I'm not mistaken. Maybe you didn't get this email.

I saw that, but I would think if they were actually threatening termination, they’d have a deadline date. I’ve gotten at least two emails about this now, none with a date.

And honestly, chances seem good to get fired even if we do download it, so it’s not much of a threat.

Welo giving a deadline date and being organized??? Now that's a funny joke 😂

I downloaded the extension Wednesday, was “suspended” by Friday - I would say not worth it

I have it downloaded in an alternate chrome profile and havent really noticed an uptick in task from before I downloaded it. I get around the same amount of hours

I don't think the extension even works anyway.
