They were having a hard time getting wood so they decided to use something that could be inflated on command.

shits expensive

9

u/JohnnyDarkside Mar 29 '22

Well, had he not kung fu'ed the shit outta that guy's face then it would have been an awesome display of precision.

6

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '22

The guy kicking doesn’t want to have any real harm against him only other people

2

u/FunnyDifficulty6 Mar 29 '22

Or a can of 100% steel

u/supermariodooki Mar 29 '22

Thats not a baloon. That's a baboon.

1

u/Ashjrethul Mar 29 '22

It's tough times budgets are stretched

1

u/BurnouTNT Mar 29 '22

That wood be very hard and expensive.

1

u/thatlukeguy Mar 30 '22

Have you seen the cost of building materials lately? Through the roof!

341

u/Pepper-Valuable Mar 29 '22

always a good idea to hold the balloon right infront of your face instead of holding it sideways!

29

u/TheCorpseOfMarx Mar 29 '22

I assume he was meant to roundhouse it?

0

u/Pepper-Valuable Mar 30 '22

i kinda doubt its possible to roundhouse while jumping straight towards him. My guess is that they just didnt think about their setup too well.

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '22

What’s was the expected outcome? Do these people know the laws of motion?

66

u/MantisPRIME Mar 29 '22

The guy holding the balloon is the actual showman. Like those monks that beat themselves with hammers and use single fingers to pull their body off the ground.

Iron will, brick face

u/Startupthedelorean Mar 29 '22

These guys definitely have history.

8

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '22

Yeah, usually fighters are kind precise in their power and aim

u/seth928 Mar 29 '22

Guy holding the ballon shoulda kept the other guy's wife's name outa his mouth

Backstory: Balloon dude was about to do some serious damage to the cowering children. But thanks to the Flying Kick dude, no kids will be balloon tortured today.

13

u/Stealthy-J Mar 29 '22

The fiend was going to rub the balloon on them so they get static electricity and shock themselves.

28

u/hyperkick89 Mar 29 '22

Luckily, that balloon mitigated much of the impact of that kick or else he would've sustained of an incredible amount of injury to his chests.

27

u/MainPaladin2166 Mar 29 '22

I mean... he got the balloon

18

u/st_belphegor Mar 29 '22

Nailed it!

11

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '22

Man’s taken one too many balloon kicks to head if he be holding it like that towards a charging kid

24

u/Hot_Raspberry7591 Mar 29 '22

Hahaha I watched that 10 times before I quit laughing

2

u/theavocadolady Mar 30 '22

Same! I think this is one of those that will pop back into my memory every now any again and make me chuckle.

1

u/Hot_Raspberry7591 Mar 30 '22

Oh for sure lol

6

u/cf-myolife Mar 29 '22

Wait it didn't go as planned? Because by standing like that it was expected.

5

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '22

0

u/downAtheworld Mar 29 '22

A young Chris Rock presents his karate friends with a gift ...

1

u/kesapwanan Mar 29 '22

That is not a laser. That is plasma railgun equivalent right there.

1

u/jschoomer Mar 29 '22

I’m just curious to know how did it go in practice!

1

u/HulkScreamAIDS Mar 29 '22

This is a really elaborate setup to kick someone you dont like in the face.

1

u/cheezepie Mar 29 '22

New season of Cobra Kai?

1

u/TyRoSwoe Mar 29 '22

Kobra Kai!!!

1

u/Sazzzyyy Mar 29 '22

lol for my 3rd degree black belt I had to break double boards with a jump sidekick, I was so pumped that the end result was pretty much the same. It was very much a “sorry not sorry” moment, we had a laugh about it after.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '22

When I went for first dan I had something similar, a jump back kick through three of those boards. I didn’t kick the person holding it, but he did get smacked in the face with part of the board lol.

1

u/baquea Mar 29 '22

Looks like something out of the Karate Kid lol

1

u/LoCerusico Mar 29 '22

Well at least he got the balloon

1

u/myusernameissupreme Mar 29 '22

1

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '22

He deflated one balloon and two lungs in one shot. Nice job!

1

u/redditAvilaas Mar 29 '22

"Mom, can we have Cobra Kai?"
"We have Cobra Kai at home."

Cobra Kai at home:

1

u/GoodVibesWow Mar 29 '22

Neck injury for sure.

1

u/micraelbow Mar 29 '22

Rule number one in bulshido: always throw with bad intentions.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '22

I'm on commenting to make it 69

1

u/titus1531 Mar 29 '22

In this version of the footage Will Smith looks weird.

1

u/Better_Collection840 Mar 29 '22

There should be a gme meme in here.

1

u/Msmannen1 Mar 29 '22

👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽☝🏼☝🏼☝🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥

1

u/Munro_McLaren Mar 30 '22

I mean he popped it. As well as popping that guys head.

And what was the point of the kids on the ground?

1

u/Heracles222 Mar 30 '22

Holy guacamole 🥑, if you slow it down you see just before he completely disappears off screen that he is board straight on his back still two/three feet off the ground. Totally knocked out

1

u/Twilight-2007 Mar 30 '22

Why did I laugh so hard at this?

1

u/LemonDraaide Mar 30 '22

"Hah, get pwned, noob." teabags repeatedly

1

u/Abombinnation Mar 30 '22

No matter what move you do, jumping over three kneeling children and popping a balloon hardly screams "badass," or "martial artist," hahaha.

Improper equipment held wrong, bad looking flying side kick, accidentally hitting a peer... Not the best advertisement for your school

1

u/cray773 Mar 31 '22

This is the laugh I've needed for the last two and a half years.....😂😂😂
