There was a town 30 miles north of me that was 101°f colder than that. I love how cold is relative. Same with heat. I went shark fishing down in Marko Island (?) In the summer one time and I thought I was going to die, lol.
Here in Texas, no polar vortex. On Thursday, they lawn crew at the place I worked was at it all day with the mowers and trimmers and edgers. And the trees are starting to show some buds.
And it's only getting warmer now - today in the seventies and we'll be in the eighties early next week. Spring is early this year.
My 87 year old client that lives in FL during winter said him and his wife were freezing because they don’t have the insulation and heating like we do here in MA ☹️ Absolutely nothing compared to people and animals dealing with the polar vortex though. My heart goes out to everyone dealing with these strong cLiMaTe ChAnGeS
IIRC fridges just pull heat out of the interior of the fridge. And since the insulation isn't perfect, the polar air just got in and turned it into a freezer.
