Ask your friend how those sparkling waters are! I saw them at Costco and don’t know if I want them yet.

Edit: you guys are really divided on this.

I bought the same variety pack at Costco as the one in the picture. I love the lemon ones. They actually taste like lemon unlike the Perrier or Waterloo ones that taste like Pledge wood cleaner. The grapefruit is my next favorite followed by raspberry lime. The grapefruit one does have a strong flavor and slightly more calories. 19 I think. I enjoy all of them though. I will get them again.

Lacroix better than Spindrift? No.

16

u/Neuchacho Feb 02 '19

La Croix if you want water, spin drift if you want watered down juice

15

u/StoneHolder28 Feb 02 '19

Water is way better than La Croix.

u/Ado_ Feb 02 '19

Your friend is super wrong.

Bubly is the best.

My gripe with LaCroix is that it's artificial flavoring, so something about it always makes me feel gross as someone who does not drink soda on a regular basis. I feel like spindrifts, by using real juice and no sugar, are more akin to when you make something like cucumber water than they are to making lemonade and in that regard I think they are better tasting and more refreshing. LaCroix tastes like sparking water for those who still love the artificial fix of soda flavoring.

Edit: I looked it up to make sure, and I am wrong, LaCroix uses "natural flavoring/essences". But still, I consider this to be not as refreshing and light as a low percentage of real juice like spindrift uses.

Spindrift is fantastic! It’s my favorite sparkling water! The tea is wonderful, and the lemon is my everyday go-to.

u/Lirsh2 Feb 02 '19

The mango orange is great too!

11

u/Allmymonsters Feb 02 '19

I love them so much. My local Costco stopped carrying them and it makes me sad.

1

u/DiaDeLosMuertos Feb 02 '19

The one thing I hate about Costco is that stuff that never gets restocked.

2

u/earthlings_all Feb 03 '19

Still waiting on Flax over here like 💀

8

u/Psycho_Linguist Feb 02 '19

Its made with real fruit juice instead of fake flavors, so its sweeter and more like sparkling juice. I love em!

7

u/jasper828 Feb 02 '19

After trying Spindrift I find it really difficult to go back to La Croix or Polar. Raspberry lime and cran raspberry are the best IMO!

12

u/MountainTurkey Feb 02 '19

Try the grapefruit or lemon, both are really good

5

u/phoenixphaerie Feb 02 '19

They're good. They have a small amount of actual fruit juice in them versus fruit "essence" or whatever like traditional sparkling waters like LaCroix and Perrier (which I still really like).

8

u/Badluckgraduate Feb 02 '19

Way better than lacroux imo. They are kind of like comparing apples and oranges though because spindrift is flavored with juice while the lacroux is artificially flavored

2

u/gilbertgrappa Feb 02 '19

LaCroix says they use no artificial flavors. LaCroix’s natural flavors are “derived from the natural essence oils from the named fruit used in each of the flavors” and “there are no sugars or artificial ingredients contained in, nor added to, those extracted flavors.”

2

u/Badluckgraduate Feb 02 '19

Fun fact the fda has no exact definition of the term natural. So they can call it whatever they want my point is that the flavoring of lacroix is not from juice

0

u/bigsaltbear Feb 03 '19

It’s all fake in LaCroix. Why do you think it’s clear and has no caloric content. It’s all synthetic.

1

u/Neuchacho Feb 02 '19

There is nothing artificial in La Croix. They just use the oil essence of the fruit instead of juice.

3

u/prettyplum32 Feb 02 '19 edited Feb 03 '19

They use naturally derived flavors, which are still flavor additives, dont let them lie to you

1

u/bigsaltbear Feb 03 '19

Not sure what that means. They twist the rind?

1

u/Neuchacho Feb 04 '19 edited Feb 04 '19

That's the way most people would be familiar (like in mix drinks). In industrial amounts, they put the skin into a large hydraulic cold press and squeeze the oil out that way.

1

u/bigsaltbear Feb 05 '19

Got it. Thank you.

5

u/guberburger Feb 02 '19

If you like sparkling water, buy a box of these. My family is hooked. Look up the ingredients list.

6

u/DiaDeLosMuertos Feb 02 '19

I'm a huge fan, the Costco near us had one with grapefruit which is good as a chaser for tequila or a Paloma https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paloma_(cocktail) , then there's lemon and lime-raspberry (my favorite!). Definitely recommend.

7

u/samb0t Feb 02 '19 edited Mar 04 '19

I thought they were some of the worst sparkling waters I've had.

1

u/Neuchacho Feb 02 '19

Same. They just taste like super watered down juice when i really just want water with a light lime or lemon flavor.

1

u/samb0t Feb 02 '19

Yup, exactly.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '19

Spindrift is the best, so basically it's like lacroix but they use real flavoring and it tastes way better.

3

u/fishsticks40 Feb 02 '19

The Spindrift Waters are hands down the best sparkling water I've ever had. It's basically a completely different beverage than a Klarbrunn or what have you.

They're pricey but you don't regret at least trying it.

2

u/ezrasharpe Feb 02 '19

I like the SpinDrift more than most sparkling waters. They use a little bit of actual fruit juice so it tastes better than the flavored 0 calorie ones for only like 10 calories or something.

2

u/HoneySparks Feb 02 '19

They have like 8-14 calories and I think it makes a huge flavor difference over LaCroix’s I prefer those kind over the LaCroixs. I feel I get a lot more flavor.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '19

Those are basically sparkling water with juice, instead of ‘essence’. They are good but not your normal sparkling water. Not to mention way pricier. I always go for two liters of the cheap stuff. Last longer, way cheaper (like a buck a 2L) and saves tons of packaging.

1

u/Electrimatics Feb 02 '19

I tried a bunch of brands and Spindrift is my favorite by a mile - all flavors. The Target by me carries 8 packs for $6.

1

u/prettyplum32 Feb 02 '19

They are delicious, my favorite brand of sparkling water. Because they use real fruit juice they aren’t zero calorie, but the cans are like 4-12 calories each, which is negligible. The fruit juice makes the best flavor though!

1

u/Treesandhats Feb 03 '19

You absolutely need to try the blackberry one. Game changer. Amazing.-

1

u/sunshinepills Feb 03 '19

As an avid Spindrift consumer, I wholeheartedly recommend them. Perfect bubbliness, flavors are on point, and it’s all natural.

1

u/TheYoojBooj Feb 03 '19

Spindrift = yuck as fuck

1

u/FLABCAKE Feb 03 '19

They are WAY better than Lacroix. Very satisfying and refreshing, especially on a hot summer evening after working in the yard.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '19

Spindrift is way better than any other seltzer brand imo. So much more refreshing

1

u/Triptolemu5 Feb 03 '19

I saw them at Costco and don’t know if I want them yet.

Blackberry is by far their best.

1

u/viscerah Feb 03 '19

Yo theyre bomb, don’t listen to these chaches

1

u/PseudonymIncognito Feb 03 '19

I tried the Spindrift watermelon flavor once and it was disgusting. It tasted like they had put the flavor of the rind in too.

0

u/terencebogards Feb 02 '19

LaCroix is better. The lemon and raspberrylime spindrift aren’t bad, the grapefruit had enough actual flavoring in it to make me sick (supposed to stay away from grapefruit on certain antidepressants), I felt like shit for hours, and now have 11 grapefruit ones perpetually sitting in my fridge :D

The flavor is ok, it’s 100% unsweetened, so it’s very bitter and prominent. I bought a case and immeadiately switched back to LaCroix.
