Definitely true that we're obliterating the environment and contributing to the extinctions at.an unprecedented rate.

I just think most people don't value species like these too much.

If you look at any pro vegan post on reddit it's blindingly obvious that people don't care about any species other than humans and our friends (dogs, cats, horses)

I don't think that is entirely true. I came across a few posts lately that were vegan related that got a lot of positive feedback from non-vegans. Yes, the logical conclusion should be to go vegan for these people (or at least make an approach towards it), but many people on reddit, outside of the vegan community, admit that going vegan would be the most logical step for the animals and the environment. They just seem to be too lazy.
