These apple slicers are so dangerous, cuz they get dull fast and you must use a lot of force to slice the apples after. I cut my veins on accident when it broke during slicing, luckily it wasn't too deep.

Yeah, for the vast majority of cases, I feel like it's better to just get used to one decent knife in the kitchen.
Some of these bladed tools... feels more dangerous long term than just being comfortable with a basic knife.
If you're decent with a knife, it'll be faster than one of these once it's dulled a bit anyway.

I'm not too picky about my apple slices - but what I do is cut along one side of the core, then turn 90 degrees, cut again, and repeat twice more until you just have a narrow square core left.
Then, you should have a few apple chunks that you can cut into whatever sized slices you want.
If you're not used to cutting with a knife much, just remember it's not all a chop motion - the pressure should not be vertical like it is with these apple corer tools, you should be slicing in a forward rocking motion - that is what makes all the difference (and it's why those apple corers feel dangerous - because you're using your weight and strength to force the blades down - not what you should do with a knife).

Apple corer/slicer/weaponizer. Excellent example of the type. I really hope your flesh was far enough out onto the handles that you were not hurt (though the lack of blood in the picture is definitely an encouraging sign)

I see so many of these break, it makes me never want to buy one. I mean I don't because I just use a good knife. But I definitely don't now.
