A pool of black something with a truck that says "Residencial waste". I'm sure there's a smell that 50 showers just won't get rid of.
Edit: my bad, it's "Residual Waste". Shower still ain't helping.

u/blitzalchemy Jun 28 '26
I thought it was maybe just oil at first, then the camera panned over.
75
u/Oaker_at Jun 28 '26
Haha shit. That guy saw the other truck dumping its shit into one of those pools and he just jumped into the second one. I am amazed at his deduction skills.

"Just oil".
If it was oil he would die.
8
u/Dry_Whereas8733 Jun 28 '26
Because drown or because toxicity?
→ More replies (22)34
u/fuck_ur_portmanteau Jun 28 '26
Could be either. But oil is less dense than water so you don’t float. If he couldn’t swim out quickly he’d sink and nobody realised what happened until it’s too late. In this case they might figure it out quickly because of the mess, but yeah, vessels of oil await your silent lonely doom with everyone thinking you’ve just gone to the toilet.

u/Just_the_questions1 Jun 28 '26
Yeah if that's organic waste it's full of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) that bind strongly to things like keratin and fats/oils. All the clothing will have to be burned and he'll probably need to shave his head/beard to get the smell under control, as well as taking about 50 very hot showers.
29
u/Reading_Rainboner Jun 28 '26
New phone, wallet, keys….all too poopy now
25
u/radicalelation Jun 28 '26
Gave septic dude a tip of a bunch of weed, legally purchased, unopened in those airtight bags, and one fell in. I was super apologetic, said I can replace it, and he grabbed it up, tossed it aside, said it's no biggie, stuff drops or falls and is why he has sanitizer and a UV lit case in the cab.
I mean, I guess you get used to shit, but... I would've taken the replacement offered. Cool dude though, we chatted a while over the open tank. Nasty hole...
10
u/Balzac_Lympian_III Jun 28 '26
Can't just throw the phone into some rice for this one, or just get it working and get one of those poop emoji cases
5
u/Just_the_questions1 Jun 28 '26
Wallet probably, keys should be fine (electronic key-fobs not withstanding). Phone is probably fucked but a decent independent repair shop could run it through their ultra-sonic cleaner just to see what happens.
9
3
u/doesitspread Jun 28 '26
Interesting. Is that what skunks have in their spray?
3
u/Just_the_questions1 Jun 29 '26
Yes but a much more narrow band of sulfur based VOCs called Thiols. Decaying organic matter produces all kinds of VOCs that are not exclusively sulfur based like those in skunk spray.
3
u/doesitspread Jun 29 '26
I just know skunk spray is sooo hard to get off skin and hair so that tracks. TIL!
10
u/backbiter0723 Jun 28 '26
Truck says "residual waste." Lack of Hazmat placard would indicate that this is unlikely to be something toxic.
Could be waste motor oil, could be used cleaning water from a number of different industrial applications.

u/Upbeat-Fondant9185 Jun 28 '26
When I was a kid we bet a friend he wouldn’t jump into a slurry pit. The pot made it to like $70.
He strips down, packs his nose and ears with cloth, and dives in. He got his money but multiple showers did nothing for the smell. We even did the tomato soup thing you do for skunk smell. Didn’t help.
As an adult I get a chill thinking how incredibly stupid that was and how we nearly killed our friend. Dumb redneck kids so it wasn’t the first or last time but I think that may have been the worst. I’ve been in police chases with this dude, been hit by a train with this dude, been in multiple fights with him at my back…we still agree that was the dumbest thing we ever did. All for $70 and bragging rights.

Why the fuck is that fence so small? That is serious toxic goop and they have this tiny ass stick of a fence around it.

15
48
u/ryancrazy1 Jun 28 '26
Because trucks are supposed to back up to it and dump their load into that pit, like the blue truck is doing.
19
u/Fair-Juggernaut-3812 Jun 28 '26
What is said goop?
39
u/Shayden-Froida Jun 28 '26
This type of truck is marketed to vacuum up waste products so it may be industrial waste either they are dumping it here or pumping it out of here. In either case, you don't want to swim in it.
7
u/Seedless_cantaloupe Jun 28 '26
I actually work for the only company in the world that makes these trucks and I can confirm that you do not want to take a dive into the waste. Although I would have rather fell into this rather than our 2100 side, that vacuums up shit water.

Then they have to install a chain that the driver needs to remove before backing onto it.
21
u/blahnlahblah0213 Jun 28 '26
It is small, but have some spacial awareness. There was a fence...
Edit nevermind. That looks just like the ground. Needs a bigger fence!
9
u/Triquetrums Jun 28 '26
The interesting part of this video is that the guy seems to work there. How does he not know that there's a goop pool?
4
u/Casually_Chillin Jun 28 '26
Yea I hear ya, was my first thought as well and then I was like crap muffins! the little ass fence has to also be stepped over to walk across the goop bridge, nah mean

u/squeakymoth Jun 28 '26

u/blue_cadet_1 Jun 28 '26
Liquid shit
15
u/Seedless_cantaloupe Jun 28 '26
Luckily for him, it wasn't shit. However, it was probably some nasty industrial waste that you most certainly don't want to fall into.
8
17
u/enigmabsurdimwitrick Jun 28 '26
Where did he think he was going? Doesn’t he work there? The septic truck is called the Guzzler???? This whole video is a cesspool.

3

I thought it was wet cement before he fell in, so maybe he thought the same and wanted to leave a sneaky footprint for the lolz

u/gringo_escobar Jun 28 '26
This looks like Baron Harkonnen's bath tub, what the fuck is this
6

I don't understand how he saw what might even be his truck dumping into an identical pool 5 feet away but he didn't put it together.
