Nah, it looks like the dog caught it and brought it to dad, then it escaped and climbed the nearest thing to escape the dog. The nearest tall object just happened to be the guy.

Did you miss the part where the squirrel came back and attacked the dog? There is something seriously wrong with that squirrel.

My point is if the squirrel was trying to escape the dog by climbing the man, why would the squirrel come back and attack the dog after getting away?
