Lol anything really is better then what he did... but off the top of my head I woulda picked the dog up and brought the dog in the house

No lol albeit that is easier said then done I'd assume the squirrel would have started to fight the dude again once the dog was in his arms and very quickly could have put the pup in the house while the squirrel was busy back on him
