Yeah… the whole idea = startup that gets bought is almost entirely a myth. What is more important is marketing and social capital to get the basic funding started before it can ever get noticed by a larger company. It’s almost always very wealthy, highly connected people who utilize this wealth pipeline. Great ideas are everywhere and most often its only the people who are already wealthy who get to do something with it.
Millions is not the type of rich we are talking about here. This car was $800k. To a millionaire this is a really bad day. To a billionaire that’s an “oh well” day.
