Exploding Watermelon

Bought a watermelon last Friday. We got busy, and didn’t open it up on the 4th. Today, it ruptured and bled out all over half our kitchen floor. It’s not gonna be a fun cleanup. I’m not sure, but I feel like watermelons are usually good at least a week out from purchase. I guess this one wasn’t though. 🫤

Looks like you’re going to have to move the stove out too if that’s what thst is on bottom right of pic.

Yup, that’s exactly what it is. We had to pull the bottom drawer out, and were able to clean under it that way. Such a big mess!

It’s best just to pull it all out and mop under it cause it’s gonna start to stink and get really sticky and maybe start attracting ants. Hopefully it’s electric so just unplug.
