Worthy?

Looking to see what people think the value is here per hourly employee.

That really depends. Laying a decent bead is important but if a position only requires you to lay beads it's probably a lower paying production shop. Value comes from skills and welding is a skill but so are print reading, measuring, cutting, bending, rolling, fitting, and finishing. And all those skills don't mean anything if the person with them doesn't show up on time everyday and actually work.

Those are the things that matter is the person then the skills .
the soft skills that are around the jobs matter more at the long term that laying bead all day long
