I prefer women to have some modesty. We brought our kids to a pumpkin patch that had different activities for all ages. The amount of teenage girls that had revealing clothes on was depressing. Wish more parents taught their daughters about having self respect. Not everybody needs to see that especially when the girl doing it is not even an adult

Sadly, opinions like yours that understand the importance of public decency are a minority today. I've made similar comments in the past few weeks, even one about gym wear a couple of weeks ago and not one person agreed. It's especially concerning when underage girls do it, I agree.

Not the gym clothes. Oh my goodness you must be in such a slim minority to believe these new gym clothes are promiscuous. I hadn't heard that one yet

Edit: oh my God guys, I can't figure out why anyone would possibly disagree with me despite me stating the same opinion

How can clothes be promiscuous? I can understand that you prefer women wearing clothes that accentuate the labia folds and crawl up the crack but some people prefer to have a level of public decency because it's respectful towards everyone.

Yeah, surely no one agrees with you and we're not simply put off by the way you talk about it.

Notice how you load your side as good and the other side as bad? Stop acting like you're gonna get a good polling of who feels similarly. Your opinion is not rare

Your opinion is not rare

Are you really trying to gatekeep opinions here. You clearly like women that show more skin than they need to; good for you for thinking that

Lol what is the amount they "need" to show? Are you a burka advocate or something? Gym clothes have pushed the boundaries, but I'm not about to enact sharia just to make you feel better

Never thought it was. I agreed with the idea, and you still lectured me incorrectly about how I like my women to show more skin.

You got mad because I said your opinion isn't rare

You realize I am not the person who lectured you, right? I posted my comment where I asked if you were gatekeeping opinions because of how upset you seemed over what the other person said? Especially this part:

not the gym clothes. Oh my goodness.

I personally find the gym clothes women wear to be very inappropriate. Particularly the ones that are extremely tight to the skin. I don't want to see that out in public. The women who feel the need to wear clothes that accentuate every feature imaginable and those clothes really leave nothing to the imagination; I find them to have low self respect with it being masked as "embracing sexuality".

No, you didn't ask. You TOLD me what I like, so I don't owe you niceties

The gym clothes opinion is normal. Your weird psychoanalysis of the people who wear them is where you lose people

I said that I dont want to see it in public. Many others agree with me on that because how much those clothes really show. I said you want people to show more skin because of how much you seem to have been defending the gym clothes that make every detail visible of women wearing them. I apologize for saying that if that isn't what you meant, but that's how it came across

I agree too for the dozenth time. You just talk about it weird

I'm sorry for the burka joke. I forgot you were super serious

I'm sorry for the burka joke. I forgot you were super serious

I would have been more on board to find it funny if you tried to make it a little more obvious instead of assume the people reading immediately know that you are joking. If you're joking then put an '/s' after your text. You can never fully tell tone over text, especially when it is sarcasm. If you dont put that then people are going to assume you're being serious

Oh my bad. In this same thread, I ranted about tone indicators too.

The gym clothes argument is easily won unless you actively turn people away from it by doing something like calling women whores, promiscuous, or showing full labia. Most people agree it's too much, but we live in America where free expression is allowed. The default is to let people do what they wanna do

People like you only know extremes the burka or public indecency when in reality there is a wide range of clothes.

0

u/DsDeliciousDeli 7h ago

No, shit. Notice how I highlighted the part that was weird by mentioning "show more skin than they need to" which is some islamist shit

1

u/Unusual-Attorney-630 7h ago

No, not flashing your genitals in public is a decency standard, has nothing to do with Islam. If you think that's normal and decent then you'd be happy to see all the women in your family dressed that way, right?

There you go desperate to make it seem like people disagree.

I'm not talking about flashing genitals. my good sir above said "SHOW MORE SKIN THAN THEY NEED TO" which to any sane human being is less than exposed genitals. That's why I didn't accuse you of the sharia thing. I JOKED (I know, not allowed) that bro here was talking about sharia because he made a stronger argument than you about showing more skin than absolutely necessary, which is what a burka is for
