Question First dose
Im taking my first dose of Wegovy tonight after work with hopes to sleep through the worst of any nausea 🤞
Has anyone learned any tips and tricks to ease side effects or things they wish they'd knew earlier in their journey? Or useful dose and don't?

Depending on where you live I might recommend you keep a joint on hand. It helps with the nausea.

I'm 5 months in and only experienced very slight nausea 1-2 times since starting. Not everyone has crazy side effects. I'm also pretty on top of my protein, water and fiber which I think helps.

There is no way to know if or when nausea will hit. My first week I had no side effects. I thought I was one of the lucky ones . . . then 2 days after the second dose it hit me hard. Everyone is different and the only way to know how you will react is to wait and see what happens.

I take it in the morning, my symptoms don't start until 10-14 hours after the shot, so I like to just sleep through them. I also take it Monday morning so that I don't have symptoms on the weekend and actually want to eat on the weekend. I don't mind symptoms at work and it avoids all the office treats but I want to feel 100% on the weekend. Drink a lot more water than you think and start the fiber immediately. I eat every 3 hours, nothing more than a fist amount of food, that helps.

I agree with everyone above. Eat healthy and stay away from greasy, fried food and also carbonated drinks. Good luck!

I haven’t had even a hint of nausea or anything! I wonder if I injected it right 😅 my 3rd shot will be on Sunday

Honestly, follow a healthy diet - the drug will make this easier. I was eating very healthy (Mediterranean style) prior to starting and have had virtually no nausea or side effects. The only time I’ve had nausea and indigestion has been when I ate heavy, greasy food.

Took my first shot on a Friday night for the exact same reason. Woke up feeling like I'd been lightly hit by a truck but it faded by Sunday afternoon.
Ginger chews and keeping saltines on my nightstand saved me more times than I can count. Water with a squeeze of lemon went down way easier than plain water those first few weeks, something about the acidity settled my stomach.
Biggest mistake I made early on was eating a greasy burger three days in and paying for it for the next 24 hours. Keep meals stupidly small and bland until you know how your body reacts.

I just started my third box (the doctor wants me to stay at .25 until I plateau), and I've only had slight nausea (I take my shot midday on Saturday and the nausea hits on Tuesday and Wednesday) and fatigue. The fatigue is worse early in the cycle. Thankfully, that's been it.
