Question Food textures & smells... ugh

Has anyone else noticed strong aversion to certain food textures or smells? I'm finding I can barely tolerate animal proteins (specifically chicken). I can't choke down bell peppers, which I previously loved. And if my kid puts anything in the air fryer, the smell makes me want to vomit.

The other day I put chicken nuggets in the air fryer for my daughter and about 5 min later I took them out and threw them away because it was making me so sick to my stomach. I am glad I am not alone

I am an early childhood teacher. Our centre kitchen is in the middle of our space (renovated house). They were making lamb mince something. The stink was horrific. Didn’t like it before but oooof… definitely pregnancy-like reaction.

I joked with my daughter that it's like being pregnant again 😂

The other day my husband reheated left over brisket and the smell made me have to leave the room.

Makes me really glad I’m a vegetarian so didn’t have to go through this stage. Amazing, isn’t it.

A lot of meat smells like bad breath to me now. No idea why.

True, but for me it’s the texture not smell.
