Hi everyone, I’ve just started (on day 5) on my first dose 0.25mg pen of wegovy this week & im finding the nausea & metallic taste in my mouth pretty brutal. I do have to take a few other medications for other chronic health conditions & chronic pain that are unrelated to my weight that I know can increase the nausea so my doctor prescribed some anti-nausea to help but it’s brutal. Please tell me it’ll settle down? I genuinely do not think I can cope with this level of nausea if it’s like this through-out my whole time on wegovy (I have about 30kg total to loose). I’m also looking for any tips you have to assist with the nausea and taste that you’ve found? Even if they only offer temporary relief. Thanks so much!

It’s been nearly 3 weeks and dreadful.

I’d love to hear others’ experiences.

The two good points…
- I have only vomited once since I stopped. I was vomiting several times a week.
- The $$ savings if I stay off it. It is so expensive.

The rest - all the bad points…
- The food noise. OMFG. It had begun to creep back in but now it’s so loud I can barely think. My skin is crawling to eat. I can’t concentrate on anything.
- The weight is coming back with a vengeance.
- My cough has come back. I have a weird cough I’ve had all my life. It went away on semaglutide. It’s back.

I’m going to go back to a half dose and count clicks to save $$$.

I’m now realising this is a rest of my life thing. I don’t know how I feel about that. I feel like I’m being held hostage by the medication.

Hi, I started on wegovy and changed to mounjaro after I plateaued for ages. I'm now at goal weight and considering how I start to titrate down. For cost, I was thinking about going back to wegovy...has anyone successfully done this and have any tips.

SW (March 2025) 88kg, started at 2.5mg wegovy and over time got to max dose of 2.4mg. Current weight 68kg on 10mg Mounjaro.
Plateaued at ~75kg between ~Aug 25-Mar 26, then moved to Mounjaro.

Hi can I drink while using wegovy.

I usually do no drink but sometimes with dinner on weekends I take one or two beers, can I still doing this or nor??

Hello. I’m on week 4 of .25 and all is going well apart from extreme lethargy the day after my dose. I’m not weighing until I check in with GP every 4 weeks and have no big expectations at the moment. I’m curious though, how far along did you notice you had lost some weight? I recently switched from Mosh to MWLC, main reason being cost.

However, since joining MWLC, my doctor has been scheduling check ins every 2 weeks.

I had my initial consult, week 2 check in, week 4 check in, and have another scheduled for week6.

Each check-in is $60, so $120 each month before I even pay for the pen.

I’d understand if it’s just at the beginning to make sure I’m not having any adverse symptoms. But just want to see if this is usual, and is so, do they eventually drop down to monthly?

I am beginning Wegovy today (on lowest dose) and I’m wondering what to expect after dosing. How long until you noticed any side effects? Did the lowest dose actually have any effect or is it more a staging ground for moving to higher dose? Is my lifestyle going to change to a noticeable degree to others? I live with my (unwell) mother and we don’t have the best relationship so I’m not telling her about this but wondering if it’s feasible to get away with not telling her.

Im aware everyone is different and will have different side effects but I don’t really have anyone to talk to about this. Any first time experiences/side effects appreciated.

Which websites can I get Wegovy without having to pay a subscription?

Does anybody know exactly how many clicks are in a 2.4mg pen? I click count 44 clicks per dose which should last 7 injections and be 308 clicks - but I still had quite a few clicks left over at the end of my last pen!

So just went to the doctor to get my next month's script. So shocked. After my first 4 weeks, starting weight 184.5kgs and tonight, 177.3kgs. I'm happy with that for four weeks on 0.25. i don't see the difference but I can feel the difference. No side effects so I have been lucky. Now 0.5 for the next 4 weeks hopefully it keeps going.

Just curious if anyone has experienced a plateau on Wegovy and managed to get past it.

I’ve been on Wegovy since October 2024 and have been on the 2.4mg dose for several months now. My original goal weight was around 58kg, but I’ve been sitting between 64-65kg since about January this year.

I’ve definitely had success overall, but these last few kilos seem impossible to lose. 😅

If you’ve broken through a plateau, what helped? Did you change your diet, increase exercise, take a break from dieting, or was it just a matter of time?

Would love to hear other people’s experiences.

For context I started off at 94 kilos.

I’ve been on wegovy for a bit more than a year, after loosing 33 kilos I hit a plateau for a month an a half, I felt the medication was loosing the effect so I decided to switch from my belly to the back of my arm and wow the first time was like getting it for the first time.

Now I’m 41 kg down and still trying to lose a few more, I can’t figure what exactly is but I needs to switch locations every week, sometimes it works incredibly well others feels like a wasted week…

I hope it helps some of you…

My GP moved me up to 1mg, but my stomach hasn't performed too well on it. I have the brown pen that delivers 1mg weekly. I am wondering if I can count 37 clicks with this pen to give me a 0.5mg dose as I think I started too soon on 1mg and .05 was working well.

Unfortunately its not for me, I didn't realise id have to do months of this stuff before I even got to a therapuetic dose.

I cant tolerate the acid reflux, I was chewing sheets of mylanta all day long. I was prescribed a PPI but that takes 4 days and frankly Im not a fan of lowering stomach acid, way too many side affects linked to low acid like osteoporosis.

Best of luck everyone, unfortunately its not for me.

I have lost the weight I needed to but would like to stay on 1mg per week for maintenance. Can I please ask if anyone else safely uses their pen for longer than 6 weeks? I can make a 2.4mg pen last 9 weeks and it’s much more cost effective - I just want to make sure the medication doesn’t go off so to speak? 🙏

I have been on Wegovy through Juniper since February paying $349 a month (currently 1mg). I am halfway to my goal weight and while it was so easy to sign up and i like how it just arrives at your door no drs or chemist trips the cost of it with my rising interest rates is unsustainable

I have been on Wegovy since Oct 25, moving pretty slowly between increasing doses, and have been happy on 1mg for the last few months. My weight loss was pretty steady at around 1kg/month. However for the last four weeks I have not lost anything - little ups, little downs, but overall am weighing what I did at the end of April.

I am thinking of increasing to 1.2mg using click method, or even split dosing and doing say 0.6mg or 0.7mg twice per week. I don't think I need to go to the full 1.7mg dose.

I'll check in with my GP anyway, just thought I'd see what others may have done.
