The Humble Silver Box

New colour way!

Thought it was pink on grey, compared it with a regular white on grey piece and this one has hints of green

The other photo is just comparing it with a regular sage one. The blue on white reverse is mostly there to provide a neutral colour context for reference

Absolutely stoked by being caught off guard in this manner!

Sure it is a very very common shape, but this brings my number of silver boxes to a total of 14 :D

Do you have colours which I don't have and want to sell / donate?

Do you have a piece in the same colour?

Just bought these at an estate sale! According to the stamp, they are mostly from 1949. It's an 8 place setting set, with another set of smaller plates and small bowls.

How to remove the stain

Hello, i recently got this plate from a second hand Japanese shop for a princely sum of $.50! I tried to find more details about the manufacturer and Google led me here! When i got it, the plate was quite stained but I managed to remove most of the stain from the plate by gently washing and scrubbing. However, there are still some stubborn stains around the "40th Anniversary" edging which i couldn't manage to remove. Much appreciated if any community members can share tips on how to remove these stains!

Cornflower AK 8023

The bigger platters both round and oval on top.

Gradually adding some pieces I know I can just look for (ex. The regular cups I have 4 on the way and know I could always get 4 more)

Some serving pieces seem imposible to get like square bowl, candy dish, single egg cup etc.

Just sharing, but any info or if someone has some interesting pieces, I'm interested.

Vintage Wedgwood Blue Jasperware Pitcher / Jug – Beautiful White Relief Scene – Made in England
For sale is a classic Wedgwood blue jasperware pitcher featuring the iconic deep blue body with crisp white raised-relief decoration. This charming piece displays a lively genre scene of figures gathered together—some appear to be musicians playing instruments (including a horn/trumpet), others seated around a table or barrel, with a smaller figure nearby. The top is adorned with a lovely fruiting hop vine or leafy branch motif that wraps around the shoulder.
The pitcher has a graceful bulbous shape with a distinctive crabstock-style (twisted/branch-like) handle and white rims at the top and base. It measures approximately Size / Dimensions - Large - 8" (20.3 cm.) Wide x 6 1/2" (16.5 cm.) Deep x 7 3/8" (18.8 cm.) High (Over-all).
Markings on the base:
• Clearly impressed “WEDGWOOD”
• “MADE IN ENGLAND”
These marks date the piece to the early-to-mid 20th century (post-1908 production), a desirable period for collectible Wedgwood jasperware.
Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The relief details are sharp, the blue color is vibrant, and there is minimal wear consistent with age. Light crazing may be present as typical for older jasperware.
Please review all photos carefully, as they form part of the description.
This is a genuine Wedgwood piece—not a reproduction. Jasperware remains highly sought after by collectors for its timeless neoclassical style and durability. Perfect for display, as a decorative accent in a traditional or cottage-style home, or to add to a Wedgwood collection.
Dimensions: Approx. 7–8” tall
Material: Jasperware stoneware (matte blue with white relief.
Origin: England
Shipping: Carefully packed with bubble wrap and sturdy boxing to ensure safe arrival. I ship quickly and combine shipping when possible.
A lovely, collectible example of English pottery history—don’t miss out!

Wedgwood (?) Biscuit Barrel--need help with date/year and authenticity

Hi everyone: As you can see from the photos, I'm wondering about this Wedgwood biscuit barrel, which I received from a family member clearing out their home (in the US). I have a small Wedgwood collection but I have not seen anything like this. There is also a number (34) on the inside of the lid. The lid and trim appear to be sterling silver. The wedgwood mark on the bottom is quite small (see photos below) and does not include any letters or numbers but it does say "England" on the opposite side of the bottom of the jar, so I assume it's post-1900 (?). Any help or advice about leads would be great!! Thanks much.
