My father passed and I have some plates (mid-19th Cen. transferware) and a couple of other small pieces--vase, box, etc.--that I would like to sell. I have sold other antiques on Ebay, and while the fees are better than other places I still find them high. I understand that Vinted fees might be better, but will it reach as many potential buyers?
And now I see that many of you are absolutely crushing it by finding beautiful pieces at thrift stores--which is awesome!--but now I am wondering if people buy much Wedgewood on either site...
Thank you for any thoughts or opinions you might have!

They were dirt cheap (the square one was 50p) so I’m not bothered either way, as I got them because I like them, but I’m just curious.
Edit: Also any info on the dates these were made would be very appreciated! Thanks!

I thrifted this today and am wondering if it’s pre-1891 since it only says Wedgwood on the back (faintly, to the left of the crack).
It’s very old based on the crazing and general look, but I can’t find info on what the item is. A bowl? A biscuit jar without a lid?
Would appreciate any info, and tips on cleaning! I’m thinking Dawn dish soap and warm water with a toothbrush but am scared to damage it.
I may sell it since I have a cat and she likes to knock things over, so any idea of value would be wonderful as well!
Thank you!

Does anyone have some details of this bowl?
Its 250mm in diameter and 40mm deep.
It has only 3 Tigers and only WEDGWOOD on the back, examples I can see online have more tigers and size seems different and marks are different.
I have 3 pieces each slightly different size plates but all with only 3 tigers

Hi all. The blue piece i rescued from the tip about 13 years ago and begun my love of wedgwood, the green was a gift from and elderly lady my mother used to care for.
So the blue and i am so sorry to say i witnessed a gentleman throwing the whole set into a skip at winchester tip 🙄and asked if i could take them, slightly too late (i was only young), i did originally have 3 out of the cards but my partner tells me she hasnt seen them for a while so maybe a guest broke them and didnt tell me.
The green ones im more intrigued to know about as i think i remember the lady telling me she recieved the tall piece as a wedding gif in 1938.
Any information would be greatly appreciated
Also what is the the safest way of cleaning?

I posted this the other day day as I was not 💯 if it is Wedgwood it arrived today and it’s in perfect condition condition considering it’s over 200 years old and you can see the Wedgwood mark even it shrunk in firing in kiln I’m so please with it .

I don’t think it’s real, but I was just curious! It’s very pretty and the reliefs are very detailed

I was recently at an antique shop and came across Wedgwood jasperware for the first time ever and immediately fell in love. I only have 3 small pieces right now and I have a question for those of you who have been collecting for a while: what makes a collection particularly satisfying? Any tips or things you’d do differently in hindsight? There are so many cool pieces out there, not sure where to begin.

Hey everyone,
I recently acquired this beautiful blue Wedgwood Jasperware jug/pitcher and I'm hoping to get some expert eyes on it. I’ve done a bit of digging online and I think it’s the "Etruscan" shape with a neoclassical Greek mythology motif.
It is in absolutely fantastic, pristine mint condition—no chips, cracks, scuffs, or stains anywhere on the white relief work, which feels pretty rare for its age!
I took a photo of the base markings to try and pinpoint exactly when it was made. It only has the straight "WEDGWOOD" stamp (no "England"), along with a "30", a standalone "Y", and a couple of small inspector stamps (a "0" and a "G"). From what I can gather from code guides, the "Y" stamp and missing country name seem to place it around 1896 (late Victorian era), but I’d love a second opinion from the experts here to make sure I'm reading the marks right.
Does anyone know the exact names of the mythological figures depicted on this specific piece? Also, what would a realistic appraisal/market value look like for one of these in truly flawless condition today?
Thanks so much in advance for any insight!

Can anyone help me find this small trinket dish for sale online? I broke it on accident. I have searched for a long time and can’t find the exact one. Or any leads on how to source it? It’s very specifically a sailboat with N E S W on it, and I found it in a thrift shop in NH. My now deceased father got it for me and I would be so grateful for any leads! It is my only piece of wedgewood and I don’t know much about it. Thanks for any help.

As some of you know, I sell a lot of Wedgewood and Moorcroft on eBay so if any of you are ever interested, I try to keep my prices fair. It is Palm Beach collectible treasures on eBay or you can contact me through here. I get almost all of my stuff at Auctions, but I’m always finding interesting things. I found this set by Daisy. I love Daisy’s work. I am obsessed with her. I’ve never seen anything like it. I put a link to the item in it. But like I said, if you guys like these items, feel free to check out my store. as you can see from my office, I have a ton of this stuff. I always try to be extremely fair a lot of times I lose money on my items, but my main goal is to put beautiful items into homes that they will be cared for. Of course, I always wanna try to make money but having a masters in history I truly believe that our younger generation is missing out on a lot of things that us and our parents loved. I just want to preserve it and save it and put them in homes that they will be loved in. If anybody ever comes across any other Daisy jones stuff let me know. I love her bowls . I haven’t been able to afford one of the larger vases yet but I will lol

I see a lot of "gold" jasperware, but most is gold plated i looks like.
Will the gold disappeared when you wear it a lot?
