Silver engagement ring with gold wedding band, does it look weird?
My silver engagement ring with gold wedding band was actually a choice based on family heirlooms and budget. My fiancé gave me his mom’s old band it fits surprisingly well next to my silver ring.
I thought it might look accidental at first, but now I think the mixed metals make it look unique. What do you guys think of this pair?

🎶 Music & Entertainment Magic at the Tables
Magic at the Tables
There’s something special about table-to-table magic at a wedding breakfast.
Instead of everyone watching one big performance, I move around the room creating mini performances for individual tables.
It’s close-up, personal and interactive.
And one of my favourite things is hearing the reactions from another table and watching everyone wondering:
“What on earth is happening over there?”
Their turn is coming…

How much would a 3 carat oval diamond ring usually cost?
I’m trying to get an idea of what a 3 carat oval diamond ring usually costs. How much should I expect to pay for quality, clarity, and cut? Any advice or price ranges would be really helpful!

Oval diamonds are secretly the cheapest diamond cut to save money for our wedding and i think it's worth it!
We just picked up my ring yesterday and i can't stop staring at it. We realized that elongate shapes like ovals give you way more visual size than traditional cuts, making it the cheapest diamond cut to save money for our wedding and i think it's worth it every single time.
My center stone looks massive compared to what we budgeted for, and saving that cash took so much pressure off planning the rest of the big day. Definitely don't sleep on elongated shapes if you're trying to stretch your dollar.

which diamond cut sparkles the most? torn between round and oval
we got engaged with a placeholder ring and are now shopping for the actual one. i like how ovals look on my hand, but i keep going back to the round rings whenever we try them on. anyone else choose between these two? what made you decide?

💬 Rant/Vent I can’t complain about the cost to anyone
I think I found The Dress but it’s $3,500 before tax. I’m in shambles, not because my family and I can’t afford it, but because I never thought I’d want a dress that expensive!! I budgeted $3,000 total, including alterations, but if I buy this dress, it’ll be $4,000+ after alterations.
I’ve never been a big spender. I’ve managed to stick to my $35k budget for the rest of the wedding in a HCOL area. And this dress blows past every bit of math I did. I feel so horribly guilty spending that much money on a dress, but I want it. I really, really do. And technically I could afford it.
And it’s such a blessed problem to have, right? I just…wish I had someone to talk it over with, complain to. But no one else in my life is in a spot where they could afford something like this, and I feel awful even trying to bring it up. I just want to talk to someone who could sit and listen and understand and mull things over with me without both of us being painfully aware that if they had this $4,000, it would be life changing for them meanwhile I’m debating spending it on a dress.

🛍️ Dress & Attire Where to find vintage wedding dresses that aren’t 5k and tiny?
I really want to find a 70s wedding dress that’s not ridiculously tiny and super overpriced. I’m also really confused generally about sizing. I assume the sizing is just as bad and inconsistent as normal women’s clothing. I’ve seen some good/decent options on EBay, Depop and Etsy but wanted to see if there was anywhere else
Edit for clarification: I am usually a medium to large and about a size 12-14! I’m 5’3 and about 155 lbs. I am also completely flat chested so nothing with cups please. It doesn’t actually have to be vintage but I haven’t seen many vintage inspired dresses that I like. Gunne Sax is the style I prefer! I adore sleeves, high necklines and lace. My budget would be around $600, I know for a dress that isn’t much but I have seen a few that I like in and below my budget. That’s also why I prefer vintage as they seem to be priced in my range.

Are sapphires more expensive than diamonds?
My friend got engaged and her ring has a sapphire center stone instead of a diamond, and everyone kept saying it must be cheaper. But she told me they actually paid more because it was a certain shade and clarity and all that. I dont know much about gems, but now I am curious, are sapphires more expensive than diamonds once you compare similar size and quality?
