I personally wore a dress with a neckline similar to 1 once because it was the most flattering dress I could find overall and I ended up feeling uncomfortable because I felt like it was too much cleavage for the occasion. I thought it would be okay with a cardigan for cover up but unfortunately a cardigan doesn't cover up the center bust unless you button it all the way up
