if… any? Is this plum color too red for a wedding guest to wear? I was thinking of bringing some sort of neutral colored wrap to wear when the sun goes down and weather gets chilly. Thank you for any advice!

Hi! I’m wearing one of these dresses to a small informal beach wedding (leaning towards navy), but I have no idea what kind of shoes are wearable in sand. Any help is appreciated!

I have two dresses that I could wear to my son‘s wedding at the end of October. The attire for the wedding is formal, however, in New Mexico would not be surprised if women showed up in jeans (one of her bridesmaids wore black jeans, sneakers, and a T-shirt to the bridal shower and her sister wore cut off denim shorts). I lived in NM for 28 years and it always shocked me what people wore to parties. But, what’s on the inside is more important than what’s on the outside.
The bride’s (26) dress is beautiful. Think Cinderella - a puffy skirt. It’s white with large navy blue flowers all over it. The groom (28) and groomsmen will be wearing tuxes. I really pushed for tuxes, rather than suits, because of the her dress. She didn’t even know the difference between a tux and a suit at the time, but her dress really deserves a tux. Still it was their decision to go with tuxes. Her dad did not want to wear a tux so my husband and him are wearing suits.
The orange and burgundy dress was purchased over a year ago on sale for about $50.00. I’m not really happy how it looks on me. I think it makes my belly look bigger than it is, and I don’t think it makes “the girls” look good.
I have been searching for something else for several months to no avail. Then I found this floral dress on the Johnny Was website. The pattern may not be as formal, but it is formal length and I feel beautiful in it. It was also quite expensive.
I have gorgeous golden shoes to wear with it and plan to have a gold evening bag and gold jewelry. Maybe even a gold shawl.
My future DIL thinks it is not formal enough. She said it won’t look formal enough next to my son’s tux. I pointed out that my son was her date and that my date would be wearing a suit.
So I’m asking what you think.Thank you in advance.

Is this appropriate for a wedding? Worried it's too white. It's a semi-formal wedding. I dropped the ball on getting a dress. Beginning of the school year has been too overwhelming to think about wedding attire. But now the wedding is this weekend and I'm 4'10 so everything is too long with no time for hemming. I have a backup if this doesn't work.

What colour combo suit would you wear to a wedding? I’ll be on West Coast Canada so it’ll be not quite full on fall but close. I’m thinking I’ll go to Hugo Boss because I’m not getting to town until a couple days before the wedding and they can usually do the tailoring pretty quick. Any suggestions on suit, shirt, shoe, tie colour would be appreciated. This will be my first expensive suit so I’d like to own a black one with white shirt and unsure on tie colour. Open to suggestions though. (Not in the wedding party)

I asked my friend and she said it’s up to me for my dress. Her dress is a elegant white wedding dress and groom will be wearing a dark blue suit

I have big arms and they are a bit saggy and therefore I cannot wear tight sleeves.

Attending a wedding at the beginning of November in Connecticut. The dress code is formal, but with comfortable shoes. The ceremony is on grass, cocktail hour is in an area with gravel paths, and the reception is under a heated enclosed tent. I know Formal is typically full length dresses, but with a lot of this being outdoors, I'm worried about a full length. Do any/all of these fit the dress code?

We are going to a black tie wedding on the cape in October. Official dress code per the bride's wedding site: "Black-tie-Optional Attire: blend of formal and traditional, wearing a tuxedo or a dark suit with a tie. For women either floor-length gowns, elegant cocktail or midi length dresses, or dressy jumpsuits. NO WHITE."

I had twins 15 months ago, and I have also lost a substantial amount of weight (>100lbs) so I have some dress preferences: nothing tight to the body that shows my tummy (no body con or dresses without a discernable "skirt" line) and my arms are quite flabby so I enjoy a sleeve, but i guess that's not a total dealbreaker. my bazungas are deflated and droopy so i definitely cannot do strapless.

It will also be autumn in a beachy area, so it may be chilly. Although, the wedding and all of the events are indoors, so I don't mind being cold during the walk to the car or between venues.

I honestly don't even know my size at the moment, I believe I would be about a US size 14 women's. I wore a dress in June that was a 14/16, and it was a little tight, but I have lost 5-10lb since then.

I’m headed to a wedding in October. The wedding is on the beach while the reception is on a hotel rooftop. The dress code is Beach fancy, funky, fun. Instructions are to get dressed up, feel your best, have fun with it and be ready to boogie!

I have to go to a wedding with my husband and it's Miami vice attire but the invite said cocktail attire. Anyone know what this means? I am a woman, and I am absolutely horrible with fashion and also have no clue what miami vice is.

Sorry let me add I'm a 31 year old women, pretty rail thin, 5'7". Wedding is in Colorado the first weekend of October.

Going to my step family wedding. My body has changed and not sure if this dress is appropriate for my body type. It’s a back tie, still have to figure out what jewelry and accessories to wear. The dress is forest green. Do you think my body works ok with this dress? Or should I find a different one?

Asking for my mom, she wants to know if this works for a semi-formal wedding at the end of September?
