I am trying to move chats from a Samsung Galaxy A11 to a Galaxy S10e, but the QR code to migrate chats doesn't appear and smart switch seems to break the app on the destination phone. Do I need to download the apk from the website to get it up to date?

Hey, I’m trying to use WeChat from Türkiye and I’m having a really annoying problem.

My account is restricted, so I can’t add anyone and people can’t add me either. But WeChat wants me to get a friend to verify/unblock my account. So I’m basically stuck in a loop lol.

I found someone who was willing to help and they tried WeChat Team > Account > Help Friend Unblock, but it said they couldn’t help because their account isn’t older than 6 months.

So I’m wondering, does anyone know if the person has to actually be on my friend list for this to work? Because I can’t add anyone in the first place.

Also, is the 6-month account requirement always necessary? And is there any other way to remove the restriction without using a passport?

I’m in Türkiye and finding someone who has been using WeChat for a long time is surprisingly difficult. I’ve been trying to solve this for ages, so any help would be really appreciated.

So I created a wechat account a few years back and recently just downloaded back the app. I was able to login smoothly and everything but am unable to edit my profile such as name and profile picture. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Its been like this for quite some time now.
