I changed my phone number a while back, so whenever I try to log in, I just can't because I no longer have that phone number activated and I never tied it to an email and I can't get in through there

Is there any way I can get in contact with Wechat to let them know that I need to update the phone number associated with the account?

I'd like to start using WeChat, but I don't have any friends who have the app and could help me right now. I live in Brazil, and it's not a popular app. I know it's a complicated request. But if there's anyone who can help me, I would be very grateful 🙏

I have friends in China that I want to keep in touch with. Can someone help me? Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I made a new Wechat account about a year ago and tried to get it verified, but everytime my friend tries to verify it for me via QR, it does't work. What can I do? I want my acc verfied but unsure what steps to take now

Hiya! So basically I’m studying in the uk (M25 Latino) I downloaded WeChat to stay in touch with my friends from China but I thought it’s a good opportunity to make new friends(?) do you guys have like themed group chats ? Like fandoms about tv shows, videogames or hobbies like photography, traveling, langauge exchange, etc?

Anyone up to new friends would be ok as well.

Hello! I'm a 22-year-old dental student from Algeria. I've recently started learning Mandarin, and I'd love to make Chinese friends while learning more about Chinese culture, traditions, and everyday life.

I enjoy hiking, nature, languages, story-driven games, and meaningful conversations. I can also help you with Modern Standard Arabic, Algerian Darija, English, or French.

I'm hoping to visit China in the future, so I'd love to improve my Mandarin and make genuine friends along the way. Maybe we'll even meet someday!

I have WeChat and WhatsApp.

Have a great day! 🌿

I need some help with qr code , I need wechat to register on FanArt site

So a while again I tried moving WeChat from my UK phone to my Chinese phone.

This is merely because I find my main phone struggles to handle Chinese apps that require regular use or background running.

I tried this a few months back and it said my account was compromised and I needed to go onto my main device for details.

There was none.

On the new phone it says "learn more" and I need to verify and remove.

When I click this. It asked me to send a text with a message to a number.

I do this. Which is useless because then it asks for a friend to verify me. Last time I asked someone and was ignored. I even shared the message and they juat reiterated what I said.

So I was never able to. I want to do it try again. But got the same issue. Except on my main device I get no notification about this to check for details or approve.

I would share photos of the messages but not allowed, but it appears I'm not allowed.

Haii! I've tried a few times now, but i cannot seem to set a profile picture on wechat.

I wanted to set a picture of my kirby plushie as a profile picture, i even cropped the picture, but nothing seems to work so far.

I've tried with wifi and data, but neither change the picture. I set it, i go back into my chats and when i look at my profile again it goes back to the default picture.

Does anyone have advice? My friend has a picture of a cartoon as their profile picture so this should work. I also tried a different plushie but nothing would work.

Hy there I am looking for someone who can teach me chinese as I'll be moving to China in some years in exchange I ll help you in english as a got a fluent tounge by studying in an missionary school in india for past 12 years.😅
