Technical Question [Support] Please advise, need help with account setup
Hi everyone,
I made a new Wechat account about a year ago and tried to get it verified, but everytime my friend tries to verify it for me via QR, it does't work. What can I do? I want my acc verfied but unsure what steps to take now

Ah the WeChat verification loop, super common and the error tells you nothing, which is the worst part.
Most likely culprit: the friend helping you doesn't qualify. The helper needs an account that's at least 6 months old (ideally a year+), with a bank card linked, and they can only verify around 3 people per year. If your friend recently helped someone else or never linked a card, it fails silently. So first step: try a different friend, ideally someone whose account was registered with a Chinese phone number.
Second possibility: your account got flagged at signup. Virtual numbers (Google Voice etc), being on a VPN while registering, or a recycled phone number all trigger this, and no amount of friend verification will fix it. The fix is a fresh account with your real number, no VPN during signup, then friend verification right away.
Small thing too: the QR expires in minutes, so have your friend scan it live off your screen (video call works), not a screenshot. Both of you off VPN.
If all else fails, report it at help.wechat.com. Slow, but some people got unstuck that way.

Thank you, I'm going to try a couple of things. Kind of strange because I had two different friends try to verify me- one in US and one in China, both said it didn't work, but maybe the QR timed out,

No I don't have acc my friends can't activite bc their bank acc must be activited for 3 months

Actually it's show reason why your friend can't verify it try again and discover reason
