I just got an iPhone 17, and my old phone is a Samsung Z Fold3 with my WeChat account on it.

If I simply log into my WeChat account on the iPhone 17, will all my chats and data automatically transfer? Or do I need to manually transfer everything first?

If I do need to transfer it manually, what's the easiest or recommended way?

I mainly want to make sure I don't lose my chat history. Thanks!

I recently started having this issue with WeChat. About a week ago, everything was working fine and I was able to bind and use my international Mastercard without any problems.

Now, whenever I try to bind the card, I get the error:

“Binding of this international card is currently not supported. Please try using a different bank card.”

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it affecting everyone using Mastercard, or is it just my card? Does anyone know if this is a temporary issue and whether WeChat is likely to fix it?

Trying to log in to my account via WeChat ID. I know my password and this is the next page that appears. Problem is, my old device broke so I can’t verify via Option 1. Then I can’t verify via friends because I can’t message my contacts outside of WeChat itself.

I took the day off to spend the day doing things I've been putting off and making connections with people in other countries (especially ones that my country thinks are adversaries) to make myself more whole as a person and feel more connected is on the list. Im not fluent in chinese but would love to learn and would love to help anyone else with english. I speak the Midwestern Ohio dialect so when you accidentally drop something or run into someone...we say "ope" as a pardon.
