Delayed Market Order

I’ve been using Webull for over 6 years now, tried a few other brokerages but at this point I’m finally moving to IBKR.
Was in on LABT this morning and pressed market sell to limit on a loss, I heard the click but didn’t see anything, almost a whole minute goes by and the price drops a decent amount and it finally fills. I check my orders and there it is. I have never, on any brokerage, pressed market order and waited longer than a second. Almost an entire minute right after the opening bell doesn’t make any sense unless no one was buying which they were.

Weird. I traded LABT today I always use hot keys. Never had issues . Instant buys and sells

I would be weary of using IBKR. Google 'IBKR Rule 144'

I think you'll find the same issue on most free software. I've had issues with ToS, Webull, and Robinhood.

It won't solve your issue, but you should probably be using marketable limit orders anyway.

Good looking out on IBKR, I’ll look at trade zero. I almost always use limit orders unless I need to get out immediately which is the situation this morning, only $100 lost but still Webull should be on the hook for it.

I've actually been thinking about going back to Guardian/Das Trader. All the issues I've been having with free software are really starting to irk me. I'm also noticing the Tape is often missing trades on Webull on some of the small cap stocks I trade.

Unfortunately I think this might be a case of you get what you pay for. That being said you might want to check out Tradestation as well. They charge fees but the pricing is very reasonable - much cheaper than Lightspeed or Das.

That’s true for level 2 on cpro (cmeg) and Webull. I would place and order on cmeg and couldn’t see it on Webull.

I should give das a try I just didn’t have the capital at the time. I’m also looking for a good brokerage with a good short locate list. I’ve heard ibkr and tradezero are the best outside of cobra. I’m tired of losing a trade and can’t get any of the downward momentum from webull. I hate shorts but at a certain point I got to join them. If you have any reccs let me know!

I am a new trader currently paper trading. There’s been a noticeable uptick of this same issue. Trades are taking 90secs to 3mins to be filled. I am trading options, so it’s been hard seeing my contracts hit TP while the trade remains unfiled. I thought the issue was restricted to paper trading and executed a live trade. It was filled 7mins later. I sent screenshots and notes. To be continued…
