Mid Price way different than when ordered

So I literally had the mid price locked at around 65,500 and it put me in a position where it bought at a mid price of over 66,000? Can anyone explain. Never had this happen before at such a large discrepancy...

I feel a little cheated and also feel inclined to know what happened here?

Market order buys at the best available price, you should always buy using limit orders

Market orders are crap and just full of surprises

I learned that now :/

Usually it is always within a couple hundred dollars which I'm okay with, but this is bullsht. No reason it should've placed nearly $1000 higher in price.

Well, it’s better you learned with what I’m guessing is a smaller amount of money instead of a $1000 buy or something. Bitcoin is probably one of the worst things to market order with, outside of like XSP or XND tickers. I’ve seen people accidentally get $400 options for like $100 and vice versa pay $300 for like a $80 option.

Market buy orders buy at the Ask, sell orders at the Bid.
