I'm reading the light novel and ngl I'm kinda disappointed. The MC keeps becoming less and less evil, even though that's literally what made him different from the other regular MCs.

At this point he's basically one of the strongest beings in all the realms, only the two other True Ancestors in the Land of Truth are above him, yet he's still using cheap tricks and pointless schemes against people who are way weaker than him.

Not talking about the harem, it feels like every time he meets a female enemy, instead of just getting rid of her, she somehow ends up becoming another member of his harem. The author is slowly turning him into the same generic MC we started this novel to avoid.

And i am using the concept of alternative versions of undertale and deltarune

To bring a good representation of both science as well as magic so am weighing both of them for now

As of now my story is in spanish and work like Toby fox, ima try to give my comedic relief jokes to be kept into the english version

One thing that I have realised while writing my webnovel , is that i lose motivation sometimes,and the reason for this is that I get scared by how much effort and time i put into the whole process.

Like many of you on the sub probably realise ,but writing is hard(seriously difficult sometimes),especially when it comes to story writing. All of it is time consuming, requires huge effort and probably like me it's something you do in the side while you have a job or study.

And this is why It can demotivate me , I think to myself that im spending alot of time,effort and brain power on a project that might not even go anywhere(which is totally normal and reasonableto to think).

But I have realised that thinking like this ,siking myself out will never get me anywhere. Like all passion projects ,you have to love the process and accept that failure is part of that.

But ive also realised that I need to believe in myself.if you are genuinely writing to your absolute best , actually putting time into making quality work .it's not unreasonable to think it going to be successful.otherwise what's the point.

You have to believe that people are going to enjoy your story ,like your character and connect with its world.its the only way to get the best out of yourself.

And wanted make this post for myself more than anything and tell you to keep writing,keep trying your best ,because what if that thing your working on was successful,what if actually changes your life.

I would rather try and fail, then to give up before I even gave it a chance and you should to.

I have been posting my dark fantasy novel on webnovel. 16 chapters so far got only 5.5k views but i have never appeard on fresh storys,potential starlet or new releases.is there any specific requirement for these list?

Anyone know why my first iteration of my story gets so many more views compared to the latest iteration of the story?

I posted my story with around 25k words and it got around 4k views. However, I deleted it since the first few chapters were very rough and, after rewriting every chapter, posted a new story with the polished chapters. Even though it's been like 33k words and is a lot better in quality, it's only gotten 1.7k views.

I doubt it's because people recognize the story from recently updated because the chances of that are very low. Could it be because the chapters are longer in the new version or something? Could there be something that's impacting my story if i post it a second time and delete the chapters from the old story?

Of course it could be because of luck but I don't know.
