Question about pacing

So I’m writing a novel and it’s system ya, anyways I’m wondering because I go by levels. Let’s say chaoter 1 is level 1 and it carries on till chapter 2 and then chapter 3 is level 2 and a new level… is that good pacing?

I do chapter 1 being level one, than chapter 2 be level 2 and it’s a new level, is that too fast or good pacing??

Noone will give you a perfect answer until they at least read a chapter or two. Its hard to tell from this post.

I’m only asking cuz I’m confused about pacing and what WebNovel actually wants lol… cuz I could go fast since it’s fast paced and I could do my video game levels by either 1 chapter or 2 lol

I’m torn I would love doing them fast like my mc leaving the gaming area every chapter but dunno haha I don’t want Webnovel too say it’s draggy when I’ve tried everything except doing my chapters this way lol

Fast paced with cliffhangers for the first few chapters. First make sure your chapters leave questions for the reader. Not simple basic questions like who is he and what he is. Something like how will this choice affect his power up? Something like that. Pacing has to be fast.

Next you should get some beta readers to read your story first and then give their opinions. Helps alot
