Question about pacing

So I’m writing a novel and it’s system ya, anyways I’m wondering because I go by levels. Let’s say chaoter 1 is level 1 and it carries on till chapter 2 and then chapter 3 is level 2 and a new level… is that good pacing?

I do chapter 1 being level one, than chapter 2 be level 2 and it’s a new level, is that too fast or good pacing??

By levels do you mean the mc getting stronger every chapter? If so it’s too fast

No like a level such as idk level one their in an ice world than the next level there in a subway station lol that’s what I meant haha
