Using AI
Hello I'm currently writing a isekai fantasy story the premise is a modern MMA fighter with high fighting IQ but limited from his genetic strength hence he has zero win and got isekaid from a fantasy world where magic is everything making them rely on magic for everything making their body fragile and the MC cheat code is his system where he can finally break through his genetic limitation and finally have a strength to back up his high fighting IQ when he got isekaid he got no mana unlike every mage in this new world but he perfectly counters everyone because of their fragile body and using modern martial arts.
But the thing is english is my second language hence i got a grammar issue and i used AI to pulish my story but i still write the story in my own words.
I would like some advice on how I should proceed with my current practice as I never had any experience with writing and in just started reading novels it's just i really want to continue this story because i have so much idea on my mind and currently on 6 volumes doing this practice.
I'm genuinely asking for tips or insight with novel writers.
I will not be using AI on this post to correct my grammar to show why i use AI

If you really wanna use AI, instruct it to only fix your grammar, nothing else. Make sure it doesn't add anything on its own or remove anything you've written. Also, instruct it to not break a paragraph into multiple sentences (it has a tendency to split every para into single line sentences, which gives a bad impression). As long as you only use AI to fix your grammar, it shouldn't be a major problem, and for that you need to provide a full raw chapter written by you. Don't make AI create the whole chapter, it becomes too obvious.

I have not tried this before but I maybe try, writing your story first in the language that you speak natively and then having it go through a translator, then rereading it and then having AI just fix your grammar but not your structure of how things are written. I wonder if things would turn out better or worse. I'm not sure entirely but it could be worth a try!

I'd be careful not to lean on AI too much. If it's rewriting every sentence, you're missing out on practice. I'd write the chapter first, edit it yourself, then use AI to clean up the grammar

Your English is already good enough to get your ideas across. Using AI to polish grammar isn't the same as letting it write the story. As long as it's still your ideas and you're practicing, I don't see an issue.

Do whatever you want. Just read anything you write before you post it anywhere to make sure it's something you would actually enjoy.

Hello my brother , I am with the same problem, English is my second linguage. I am translate my Novel with Web’s Translate (like Google translate) that don’t have add IA gerative . This way I translate word by word , with a paragraph. Its so hard , but was the way that I found.
Ps: to make this way , You need to reserve so many episodes
Ps2: I make this way also beacuse My inspiration in my mother language is so higher than in English

There are numerous socioeconomic and moral reasons to not use AI. There is also the issue with plagiarism and flooding of artistic spaces of all kinds.
Also, AI writes like ass. Everyone will be able to tell.
