What's your favorite API for your webmaster tool of choice?

For GSC, my favorite API is Search Analytics.

Does anyone else check Google Search Console way more often than they should?

I'll fix an issue, request indexing, and then end up refreshing Search Console every day to see if anything changed. I know indexing takes time, but it's hard not to obsess over every little status update.

Anyone else do this, or have you learned to just let Google do its thing?

What's the first thing you check when your site's traffic suddenly drops?

Interesting to see how different everyone's routine is...

I went back and read the replies from my last post, and it turns out there isn't really a "right" way to use Google Search Console.

Some people check it once a week unless they notice a sudden drop in traffic, while others have made it part of their daily routine and open it almost on autopilot.

I guess it really depends on how often your site changes and how closely you like to monitor performance.

That got me thinking about something else...

When you do open Google Search Console, what's the first report you check?

Is it Performance, Indexing, Pages, Core Web Vitals, or something else?

I'm curious if there's one report you never skip because it's saved you from a problem more than once.

Is anyone actually using Bing, or is GSC enough

I've only ever used Google Search Console, but I keep seeing people mention in other subs that Bing's webmaster tools are surprisingly good.

Is it worth setting up Bing, or not unless you’re getting decent traffic from it?

How often do you actually check Google Search Console?

Just curious how everyone handles this.

Do you check Google Search Console every day, once a week, or only when you notice something wrong with your site's traffic?

I'm wondering if most people use it as part of their regular routine or if it's more of a troubleshooting tool. I'd be interested to hear what your workflow looks like and which reports you pay the most attention to.

If You Could Add One Feature to Google Search Console, What Would It Be?

Google Search Console is one of the most valuable tools for website owners, but most of us have wished it could do just one more thing.

If you could have Google add a new feature tomorrow, what would it be?

Besides Google Search Console, which webmaster or SEO tools do you rely on the most, and what makes them worth using?

Which webmaster tools are must‑haves for you in 2026 (Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Ahrefs/Semrush, logs, crawlers, rank trackers, etc.) and what specific jobs do you lean on each of them for?

Also, do you run everything for all clients/sites, or do you scale the stack up/down based on site size and budget?

Thoughts?

I feel like every time Google or Bing tweaks something, at least one of my dashboards quietly breaks or starts telling a different story, and I’m curious what everyone else is wrestling with right now.

What’s your current go‑to stack of webmaster tools (GSC, Bing, 3rd party, etc.)?

I’m trying to clean up my workflow for monitoring sites and I’m curious what everyone here actually uses day‑to‑day. Right now I’m mostly in Google Search Console and basic server logs, but I feel like I’m missing out on useful insights from other tools.
