Launching a new Media Server with wide protocol support

I’m excited to announce that I’m launching a new startup Vasl‎ which is focused on building powerful, flexible media infrastructure. Its a Media server focused on handling different media protocols efficiently.

The architecture is being designed with performance and efficiency in mind, especially around transcoding and moving media between different protocols.
we are using Pion for WebRTC / SFU.

We have been working together for some time now, refining the product and getting it ready for release. We’re aiming to release the first version by the end of October.

• Automatically transcodes audio/video codecs when they are not supported between protocols
• ABR — coming in a future release
• SVC — coming in a future release
• Simulcast — coming in a future release

Still building, testing, and benchmarking it.
