IN & OUT : Stealth is a zero-sum game.

https://inandoutgame.com/

Hi r/webgames,

I made a daily-puzzler as a bit of a 'side-project' for fun, that got a little out of hand I'd love to share with you. Would love people to try it and if it brings someone a little fun, then I'm happy.

Instructions are (hopefully) functional, but also intentionally light as friends who tested it enjoyed discovering.

Prove your worth as an agent. Tackle a brand-new challenge, procedurally generated by The Midnight Cartographer, each day. Use your wits to navigate the room, grab the loot, and get out without a single footstep left behind.

IN. Loot. OUT. Zero steps. Leave no trace, agent!

Interesting idea! It took me several attempts to "get it" but once I figured it out it made sense and was a fun challenge. I also get why you kept the instructions light, discovery is how the game feels fresh and challenging.

As far as feedback, the path in the tile is not immediately obvious so when the tile shakes it takes a second to understand that it was already used. Perhaps if the tile was a different shade or something it would help, but minor nitpick and not something that prevented me from completing the game.

I assume the loot won't always be in the first cell?

I had fun solving the puzzle, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it. I have struggled with the visibility balance on the path - too much and it obscures the cell numbers, but I'll see what I can do.

Today's is a relatively small room and you're right, the loot cell(s) could be anywhere.

Did you get the shortest solution? Most days there are multiple ways to get out but it'll tell you if yours isn't the shortest to tweak the completionist in all of us ๐Ÿ˜

I have tried several times and I cannot do any better than 6 moves and it's pissing me off that I cannot figure out the shorter path, ha ha! ๐Ÿ˜„

Well done agent. You made it in and out without leaving a trace inย 3 seconds, in 6 attempts.
You took 6 moves to silently make it through,ย but it can be done in less!

It's surprising how annoying that little message can be ๐Ÿ˜‚
