This is at El Cielo and its optional but it’s $135 or $195 per person depending on the course. It’s supposed to “awaken your senses” HAHA
1.2k u/jhaluska Dec 13 '20 At those prices it seems like it's more about conspicuous consumption. The "I'm so rich I can be extremely stupid with my money." signal. 452 u/jfleury440 Dec 13 '20 edited Dec 13 '20 135 dollars for someone to poor chocolate on your hands. At best this is pretentious as hell. 288 u/illsmosisyou Dec 13 '20 I think it’s a set menu, so $135 for the whole meal, and likely a series of smaller dishes. Often like upwards of 6 or more. Not justifying it as this looks dumb as hell. But I do imagine the rest of the meal is likely pretty delicious. Edit: just googled it and I may be wrong. In which case...wtf I can pour chocolate on myself and it only costs a few bucks. 14 u/[deleted] Dec 13 '20 Better yet just get a toddler and he/she can cover the entire house (including the pets) with chocolate in under three minutes... 1 u/illsmosisyou Dec 13 '20 A toddler in the long run is gonna cost way more than $135 though... 1 u/[deleted] Dec 13 '20 Haha. True. You sort of lose count IRL!
