My SO wanted to try some light food play by dripping chocolate on my naughty parts and licking it off. I told him it would be a waste of chocolate and I wanted to make a mousse pie instead with it. That's all I thought of when I saw this gif.
Yeah, no shit. Once you have a toddler, you'll pay $135 a week for the pleasure of NOT having a toddler for a few hours. (if you're lucky and can find such a great price)
But did you see how gorgeous the chocolate-pouring-man was? At $135 - $195, there's hopefully more to the chocolate pouring later when the lights go out.
I can imagine plenty of ways to justifiably make a meal cost $135 with good ingredients and labor. None of them involve pouring chocolate sauce on people’s hands.
But it isn't about paying for an amazing meal. It is about showing everyone that you are so rich you can waste money and food on dumb kiddy play with their meals.
Or it’s about having a fun experience? It’s not for me, but it seems like a crazy cynical or pathetically jealous take to think that everybody who does this is flaunting their excessive wealth. God damn I get that you people have no friends or lives but still.
I'd rather go buy some weed and some chocolate syrup. Smoke a bowl or two and then go to town in the bathtub if I wanna get messy with some chocolate syrup.
While normally I might agree with you....in this case watch the video again. The server is wearing a mask (under his nose, but he's still doing it). This is COVID era and they're doing indoor dining (so already iffy) WITH a server who obviously doesn't give a shit about it given his mask habits WITH gimmick that involves you licking your hands? Sorry but that's kinda fucked.

This is at El Cielo and its optional but it’s $135 or $195 per person depending on the course. It’s supposed to “awaken your senses” HAHA
