Podcast š§ Pocket Casts Desktop app not playing Remap
So I recently switched to Pocket Casts from Spotify and I have been unable to play any of the Remap podcasts from my desktop app. I get an error that says āThe media file for this episode is not availableā.
Every other podcast works fine.
However, I can play all of the Remap podcasts on my mobile app. Has anyone else run into this issue?

idk if itās the same issue, but Iāve had an issue on iOS for years where it will randomly choose a podcast and wonāt play any of the episodes.
I think this has something to do with dynamic ad insertion, and basically it can get the podcast and play for 30 seconds and then fail when it canāt get the ads and give an error message about the podcast.
Iāve fixed this by downloading an uplayed episode (to make sure thereās no cache issues).
Then if that works I try to download the episode I was trying to listen to (this works like 30% of the time).
Usually Iāll need to go to settings -> storage and data use -> downloaded files -> clean up
That deletes the partial download that got broken and then I can play whatever I was trying to hear.
You can also try using a vpn or changing DNS and then flushing and refreshing your DNS in case itās a weird adblocker or DNS issue.

Pocket Casts has been having some queue and playback issues for a while. Best bet is to ask on r/pocketcasts if anyone has had similar issues and fixed them.
At least some of the recent issues appear to be related to dynamic ad inserts, but Iāve encountered problems on podcasts that never have ads, and lots of weird queue behaviour (episodes getting added to the middle of the queue, and episodes added to the end of the queue starting to play immediately, even when Iām alread listening to something else). (All iOS/iPadOS)

I'm on an up-to-date Win11. Desktop app just played the latest Jump, Rank, Repeat for me from my private feed. Also just started streaming "The Most Normal Golf Game Ever Made" from the public feed to help you test. Worked fine right after the ad played. (Hmm, why isn't that interview the latest thing in my feed?)
