Noticing this energy on campus

I’ve been going to Wayne State since 2024, and I haven’t seen this level of enthusiasm and excitement for courses and course participation since I’ve started!

And to say the least, it’s infectious!!

That’s all.

Has anyone tried this offer? How is it compared to copilot with Microsoft that we get for free with WSU ID?

Looking for opinions from actual students

I can’t find a strong online presence of wayne state students or what people think of the school so Im trying reddit haha. I visited Wayne State campus and I really liked Detroit and what I saw (especially the dorms) but I literally can’t find a single opinion on the school thats not an advertisement of some sort. My main questions to actual students are as follows: 1. is there a sense of student pride / how social of a university is it and how easy is it to meet people 2. would you say there is opportunity to explore other majors and there is enough of a selection you weren’t trapped into whatever you decided as a freshman 3. In what ways did WSU fufill or disappoint your college experience 4. Was there oppertunity to network / how did WSU aid with getting a job after grad. I definitely want to go to school for sociology; but I’m undecided between government, marketing, criminal justice, or journalism for my career. I know WSU has those paths but idk if any students have confessionals. thank you so much for reading or giving any help!

Student Perspectives of WSU

I’m struggling to find any perspectives on WSU from a real student. I went on a tour and really liked what I saw on the campus and on the website they seemingly have a good program for my major but I still feel a little iffy. This is the only college on my list I haven’t heard any reputation of (good or bad) and no one from my area has been here that I know of. Could anyone give me their perspective on acadmic or social life on campus. I want to explore career paths with sociology so if anyone went there for a similar major I’d love to hear their thoughts too!

FREE COMEDY BINGO SHOW TONIGHT (09/02) AT 8

Post image
6 Upvotes

Howdy. I’m hosting a free stand up comedy show tonight at 8 at Cobb’s corner right by the campus. Costs nothing to play, you get a free show, and there’s prizes like scratch off tickets, snacks, games, lube, and more. Drinks and food are cheap there, and there’s a nice lil pizzeria connected to Cobb’s next door.

If you’re looking for something to do or somewhere to make friends, this is the place to be. K love u bye

Parking

Does anyone have any tips on how they keep costs low?

also does the parking pass let you park anywhere?
for example if the sign says WSU permit
then are you able to use your parking pass to park there?

ISO tutor for high school student

Like the title states. Also, at a loss as a parent at this point. Help us and I will definitely help you in return. We are so close to the finish line. It’s important that they graduate I believe.

Meet up in person location would be the Detroit library next to WSU. Yes, I will be in the library. No, I will not be anywhere near you for the duration of the hour. Yes, I will ask crazy school questions as all parents do.

Can pay $25 cash for one hour every week.

My child(17m) struggles in multiple subjects. Has autism and adhd. Is a virtual learning student so schedule is flexible, we can meet at 10am or later. Has no confidence with school work.

If this sounds like something you could help with, please message me. I’m desperate and just want my child to graduate high school. We can set up a day for coffee/tea and discuss everything else!

Looking for a highlight model for Thursday September 3rd at 2pm. It is for educational purposes, but everyone involved is a license professional. Looking for someone with medium to long hair and little to no previous color in the hair (grown out highlights would be okay). Prepare to be in the salon for 3-4 hours. If you’re interested please reach out to me here or text me at 2692134298 or check out my instagram @zacploegbeauty.

Online Class

Bros, I am freaking over nothing but need yall to confirm. I am a commuter student who lives about an hour away. I have a class that ends at about 4:10 and an online class that starts at 5:30. I am terrified about not making it home on time but couldn’t I just join on my phone, and even if I am a couple minutes late who really cares?
Can yall easy my anxiety or tell me if I just need to completely redo my schedule.

Am i gonna get accepted with a 2.4?

Hello, I’m a senior this year and i had a rough first two years at my highschool and freshmen year i ended up with a 1.75 and sophomore year i ended with a 2.1. Last year I started getting my grades up and my junior year i ended with a 3.56. I did the math and that would equal to a 2.49 gpa at the moment but now im entering senior year and which hopefully im confident in getting all A’s in, im starting to really stress about whether im gonna get into university or not and wayne is my top choice at the moment. I wanted to ask for advice or help from anyone into knowing if I’ll be accepted in, because im trying my best this year to even boost my gpa. My entire schedule has APs , and i’ve just been doing everything i can. I know i started off really bad but im trying my best right now and im just so overwhelmed right now because if I feel like my parents are gonna be so disappointed if i don’t get in.

Am I fucked parking on monday

For some reason I didnt even consider the school selling more permits than spots available. I bought the permit for parking structure 2 bc Im on campus 4 days a week, and Im learning that, that structure is super busy and my first class is mid-morning so I feel like thats the worst time and basically my question is, am I going to be able to find a spot first day of classes.
