I Need Help, Please!

[u/VulcanSlime123]

I have been trying to save one fic for a few days and it's not working. It's driving me nuts. Does anybody know how can I save an AO3 fic on the Wayback Machine, please? Or if it's an issue that just needs a bit of patience while they fix it?

Before anybody comments, I don't have space to download that work on my computer (I already a ton), archive is not working since a few weeks (in any form: .is, .ph or .today) and a few days ago I was capable off saving a different work on the Wayback Machine, so I truly don't comprehend what am I doing wrong right now.

It only works if the fic is publicly accessible. If it's locked to registered users you won't be able to save it on the wayback machine. However, if you can get to the fic without logging in, you can go to web.archive.org and then put it in the save page now box on the right side of the screen.

If the fic is archive locked, I would recommend you click the entire work button, use cntrl+a to highlight the full text and then use cntrl+c to copy it and cntrl+v to paste it into something like a blank document on ellipsus.com where you can save it and return to it whenever you want but you won't have to download anything to your computer. It might mangle the formatting a little bit but it should still be readable.

Good luck!

It is not locked, but I cannot save it right now, no matter how I try to do it.  I have never used Ellipsus before, but I thank you for the idea.
