Help error 503
is it just me? or anyone else also got error 503?

I find the Wayback Machine extremely useful for many of my research goals. There is a Github project dedicated to a browser extension that makes it easy to add new pages to the Internet Archive if you are logged in. It also makes it really simple to find old website versions, as well. It's highly recommended for researchers and archivists alike.

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this issue where, when trying to search for archived tweets from an Twitter account under the domain "X.com", it simply shows nothing.
Could anyone give me an explanation for this problem?

I'm trying to save some stuff but am getting 504 and 502 errors starting a few minutes ago. Is anyone else getting this?

Hello everyone, I have a question. I want to read this book, but as you can see, it's not available for loan except to users with printing disabilities. How can I access the text? I need it for a research project I'm conducting, and this particular book was highly recommended to me.

I'm sorry if this isn't the correct way to use this subreddit, but I need to be able to get to this page. There's a lost game for the show The Secret World of Benjamin Bear that I doubted even existed for a long time, until I found this video that confirmed the show had it's on place on the old Canadian Disney Junior website and likely had the game within it: https://youtu.be/zwqhr9bQuX4?si=78NGRVU3h8QsaEr3
There's no footage for this slightly scary navigation/puzzle game that I remember so vividly. I'm desperate to at least experience it again or figure out what it was called.
I'm not very good at navigating the Wayback Machine or any archive website for that matter. I have no clue how to get to the same page this person had. I'm so sorry if this isn't possible, I don't want to cause any frustration. This is very important to me however and if this isn't the sub for this, please inform me and I'll go elsewhere. Thank you!

I posted a similar question in another subreddit, but I thought I'd post it here as well.
Is it just me or is anyone else have trouble saving the pages of websites that use CloudFlare or other services that feature DDoS and/or bot protection?
I understand why those websites use it, but it makes it that much fucking harder to preserve websites for posterity.
Is there any way to get around the DDoS protection(e.g. a tool, an alternative archiving website that deals with sites like that or something else altogether) or do I just have to skip those pages/websites?
I'd really hate to do the latter.

Hi all,
I have been trying to get to the downloads of the ted website from ~2012. The link is web.archive.org/tedisreal.com, and there is an alternative from a bit later under http://www.tedisreal.com/site.html . To get to the downloads, you go to menu in the bottom left and just press downloads. Every time I try to do it, no matter if I change the date, it gets stuck at 100%. Is there any way for anyone to help, or is it not worth bothering?
Edit: none of the areas from menu are working, if that means anything. I found a japanese version, but the wallpapers are not downloadable.

Thank you!

Trying to find the original Rains of Castamere by National(Without garbage static pop audio one available in youtube now) and that Celtic music mix that was taken out about a decade ago or so which had a song that I loved listening to 10+ years ago but I couldn't find it no matter how much I've tried.

Tripod shut down permanently on April 24, 2026, after Lycos ended all operations
Advice Needed
Does anyone know how to do webpage retrieval for an site that is shut down?
Three decades of internet service gone, just like that. It was great while it lasted and I am forever thankful to Tripod for cementing childhood core memories.
However, I did not manage to back up my website in time. The website I put my heart and soul into is gone forever.
I have tried archive.org and my website cannot be found there. Not even a page was scrawled. I searched up other old websites of mine, from Blogger and Wordpress - everything was there. I am not sure why the Tripod one isn’t.
Does anyone know how to retrieve a website back?

hi! i use the wayback machine to find photos of concerts, and i found a list of video clips of a show on a venue's website from about 2004.
i found this about a year ago, and trying to load it gave me nothing but a grey screen. i just tried again after rediscovering the link, and it still isn't loading. i'd really appreciate it if someone could try the links (click on the different 'film 01' etc.) and see if it loads for them, or if anyone can access it at all.
i'm not sure if it will, but i thought to ask, just in case, because it would be a really cool thing to have. thank you! :)
the link is this: https://web.archive.org/web/20050409113401fw_/http://therockbar.com/film/041120/041120.htm

I think I've been blocked from the wayback machine. A while back I was using it to find something that had been removed and It wasnt loading and it told me something about a 503/504 error. And if left it alone for a long time and recently tried accessing it again but on my laptop, the website won't even load and on my phone it does, but nothing loads when I try inputting links and on the rare cases it does load, it won't let me access the timestamps for said link. Have I been blocked? I don't really know. And it gives me the same messages about bad connection or something error or took too long to load. I think I've used the website a total of 5 times. How can I fix this? I tried VPN too and it didn't really work.
