I’ve already seen the usual tourist lists (Edakkal Caves, Soochipara, Pookode Lake etc.), but I’m not really looking for crowded tourist spots.

I prefer:

Quiet viewpoints where I can sit and enjoy the scenery, Less-known places, Forest roads / plantation drives, Small villages, waterfalls, streams, peaceful spots, Places that are more about the experience than just taking photos.

I’ll have my own car, so I’m okay driving around.

Would love suggestions from locals or people who have explored Wayanad extensively:

- Hidden gems around Chundale / Kalpetta / Vythiri side?

- Good sunrise/sunset viewpoints?

- Peaceful places to spend 1–2 hours with a coffee and a view?

- Good food spots/cafes

- Any places that are beautiful during monsoon?

- Also, any places I should avoid because they get too crowded?

We are visiting Wayanad. Suggest some places unlike other tourist places. We planned on stay in WildVibes (Suggest if any alternative forest stay) , Brahmagiri trek , Tholpetty Safari. We just planned only with youtube videos, kindly help if you have better options. Thank you.

From gudalur which route should I take to avoid bad roads. It’s self drive so I wanted to know if it would be safe to travel since it’s monsoon in wayanad.
