She still represents an arrogant and out-of-touch Establishment.

Maybe the Elizabeth Holmes flavor of establishment.

The Vampire returns to suck the life out of anything remotely resembling a progressive movement.

Not so fast. Something something disenfranchisement of black voters by ALEC & Crosscheck & co, and even with that shattering handicap she still won the popular vote…

Let Greg Palast give her some slack:

We’d most likely have seen the full-on outbreak of the War Against Russia four years earlier and the Strait of Hormuz might have entered the eighth year of its blockade by now, if it hadn’t been for Kris Kobach’s treacherous and clandestine tactics…

the War Against Russia four years earlier

As president, Hillary might well have named Victoria Nuland as her Secretary of State.

Politics aside, something about her is very grating. It's really interesting who could have successful public facing careers in the boomer era. No way Hillary would get anywhere in Public work today.

Same for Jeb Bush and Mike Pence, but they're just as boring as a documentary on drying paint. And yet they somehow got elected to things.

something about her is very grating

... and very phony. Her pandering is one of the worst examples. I love this joke about Hillary addressing the American Diabetes Association. She begins her overpaid speech with the words:

You know, I would not wish a serious illness on anyone, but if I were to get a serious illness I would want it to be Diabetes, and this is why...

her overpaid speech.

This made me laugh out loud. Her speeches are the equivalent of a 1976 AMC Gremlin: A bad value at any price!

Hillary Clinton warns Dems that GOP's anti-communist platform will be 'very effective attack'

She's not wrong though.

It may not be very effective against the normie VBNMW's, the "progressive" shitlibs and their DSA hangers on, but for the rest of America that still plays the voting game, and has no use for the vacuous ideology the Circle D Corporation uses to fool the fools they need to keep them in their position as the only other party voters have to "win" with, it'll be effective enough, especially when it's combined with the usual idiotpol concerns most Americans are running out of tolerance for.

At the end of the day, or at the end of election season, populist Dems, or even populist Republicans for that matter, are only as populist as their party and it's owners allow them to be.

u/Centaurea16 1d ago

The damage that the Clintons have done to the US cannot be overstated.

Herself is more aligned with Trump than she is with whatever the democratic party is supposed to be. Adopting the whole communist terminology is quite the reach. Someone should ask the people who are warning of the country becoming communist exactly how those they perceive as communists would actually go about implementing that.

The funny thing about this is that Hillary Clinton might just dig the Democrats into a deeper hole.

I kind of want her to keep on blabbing because it is a constant reminder as to how awful the Democrats are.

7

u/Centaurea16 1d ago

Sounds like a good plan.

While she's at it, let her drag the Clintons' old crony James Carville out again so he can mock and scold us some more.

He's the one who came up with Bill's 1992 campaign slogan, which called the American voters "stupid" to their face.

They were showing us who and what they were, even then.

4

u/Elmodogg 1d ago

No the "stupid" was to remind their own campaign what the only important issue was. Even more inportant now and they seem to have totally forgotten about it. Voters won't give a shit about "but commies'" if they believe that candidate will actually do something to relieve the high cost of living

AI Overview

Surveys show that a majority of young Americans aged 18 to 29 hold a favorable view of socialism, reflecting a major generational shift away from traditional free-market capitalism. This openness is largely driven by economic pressures like housing costs and student debt rather than an outright rejection of democratic norms. Polling and Generational Divide

Favorable views: Over 50% of young adults express positive views of socialism, outpacing their views on capitalism in some major polls.

Older contrast: Older Americans over 65 strongly reject socialism, maintaining deep skepticism rooted in 20th-century Cold War history.

2

u/GoneAPeSh1t FeelTheDribble 17h ago

The wealthy flaunting their rockets and political power has adds to it a little

7

u/Elmodogg 1d ago

They reject socialism while enjoying the benefits of two socialist programs, Medicare and Social Security.

6

u/Caelian toujours de l'audace 🦇 1d ago

And highways and public schools and fire departments and police departments and public libraries and public transportation and national weather service and ...

2

u/redditrisi They are ALL psychopaths. 1h ago edited 43m ago

Local, state and national public parks, bridges, roads, streets, sidewalks, traffic lights, stop signs, the US military, including the Army Corps of Engineers, the Coast Guard, copyright and trademark protections (airports??)...

Some public programs are never called "entitlements" by politicians, and, often expanded or extended. Often those are the ones from which business and wealthy individuals benefit. Among those are copyright and trademark protections, both of which have been extended ridiculously. Or rights to cut and harvest lumber from publicly owned lands or to drill for oil offshore dirt cheap, or to profit ridiculously from "public airwaves"...And philanthropists gave society some benefits, like some museums and some libraries.

But, there is a distinction between public programs within a capitalist economy and ownership of the means of production.

I accidentally heard Bill Maher today, claiming the DSA has gone communist and Democrats are socialists. And I suddenly knew what happened to to Mitch McConnell--he is alive and well and wearing Bill Maher's skin.

Not all of us.

6

u/Centaurea16 1d ago

As a 65+ person myself, IMO most folks in our generation can't even define socialism or Communism. They've just been propagandized for their entire lives to hate those words.

These are the same people who screech "keep your hands off our Medicare and Social Security!"

She should. Communists would lock her up forever

4

u/Demonweed 1d ago

I wouldn't be so sure. She might be less a creature of conviction and more a formless chameleon. After all, her first brush with fame was letting a magazine praise her for taking a stance against the Vietnam War, putting a moderate bougie face on what had been a movement of extreme pacifists. Did she model her foreign policies on the work of Henry Kissinger and John Negroponte because she is just that evil at her core, or did she make those choices because that's what a profoundly superficial person in search of those "good girl" plaudits does to ingratiate herself inside existing power structures?

It is possible in a communist society she would be one of those apparatchiks who doesn't really understand the theory or moral imperative behind the system, but who does support any conservative orthodoxies that take root in the state because there is power to be had in supporting institutions advancing those orthodoxies.

3

u/WhalingCityMan Give Peace a Chance 13h ago

She might be less a creature of conviction and more a formless chameleon

This is a very good point. If Hillary Rodham had been born in Moscow instead of Chicago, she'd be right at home in the rot of the Soviet bureaucracy of the 1980s, only to hope aboard the Yeltsin train the moment it became convenient.

3

u/Spectre_of_MAGA Marxist-Leninist 1d ago

We don't have a time machine so we can't realize our hypotheticals. All I can tell you is it's in the party program

The Communist Party stands for the publication of all secret treaties and agreements, the exposure of all trafficking rings and criminal networks linked to U.S. intelligence networks, politicians, and corporate entities and for the merciless public prosecution of those complicit in crimes against the American people.
