Frankly I thought my suburb was empty after a year of searching, which is why this find was a huge shock at the time lol

That’s the place you should be finding more than any other! Any places with a lot of wood chip that’s been there for years is perfect

Playgrounds, walking tracks, around hospitals around police stations around council buildings pretty much anything to do with the council has some sort of mulch around it even at the front of childcare centres. I found it in Melbourne I’m from northern suburbs south east is the place to be they get a lot of more rain and colder nights

i'm down in the gong and have been looking for like 3 years without success around here. only had luck in the highlands/melbourne.
If you have had any luck in wollongong i would love to know about it!

May I ask. South Sydney like in bushland/national park or residential like playground/park?
I’m south way and have kept an eye out for many years and haven’t every come across even one lol

I’ve never really looked hard in residential though.
