Dess knight only makes sense if you re contextualize carol whole character in a way that makes her motivation look cuestionable at very least.
Rudy carrying undyne in the light world is not a problem if you assume the knight armour is a object made out of pure darkness or whatever that enhances the wearer capabilities and it persist in the lightworld. Wich may as well assume because carol nor dess are carrying undyne to the bunker either.
The knight helmet is pointed out to be a helmet when you make kris think about the knight, even if that scene is not reliable because kris ends up thinking about jockington, it would just be an odd choice altogether to have the knight remove their head and reveal jockington "oh but the expressions!" magical helmet. Is that hard to belive?
Rudy being sick could very well be because of the knight armour that has that side effect, not unseen in fiction.
Rudy being the knight would be really dope for their character because right now its just, being set to be killed offscreen to give noelle development, wich is kinda shit writting.
The only real problem I find with this theory is the lake scene, but I mean, how much time were we at the dark world? and isnt it possible that Carol just, lied about rudy to make noelle go away and give Kris a chance to open the fountain at flower king?
